Richard Dawkins: ‘Trans women are women’ slogan is scientifically false

New book warns against denial of scientific truth by ‘astonishingly vicious’ trans activists and other threats on science.



The slogan “trans women are women” is scientifically false and harms the
rights of women, Richard Dawkins has said.

In a new book, the evolutionary biologist warns that scientific truth must
prevail over “personal feelings” and argues that academic institutions must
defend facts above emotion.

In The War on Science, Dawkins joins several scientists and philosophers
contending that academic freedom and truth in universities was being stifled
by
diversity, equity and inclusion policies that promoted falsehoods under the banner of social justice.

“I draw the line at the belligerent slogan ‘trans women are women’ because it
is scientifically false,” he said. “When taken literally, it can infringe the rights
of other people, especially women.

“It logically entails the right to enter women’s sporting events, women’s
changing rooms, women’s prisons and so on.

“So powerful has this postmodern counter-factualism become, that newspapers refer to ‘her penis’ as a matter of unremarked routine.”

Dawkins told The Telegraph that the trans-activist community had become
“astonishingly vicious”, hounding people out of their jobs and calling for
women who disagreed with them to be decapitated and physically assaulted.

“Amid a rainbow of sexual habits, parental practices and role reversals, the one thing that remains steadfastly constant is anisogamy.

“There are welcome auguries that the fashion is finally on the wane, at least in Britain.”The new book was edited by Lawrence Krauss, the Canadian-American theoretical physicist who believes that the diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) agenda is a huge threat to universities.

In the introduction, Krauss warned that Western universities and science institutions were “no longer guaranteed to be places where the free and open exchange of ideas is encouraged”, or where research can be carried out “unhindered by ideology”.

When The Telegraph carried out a poll of academics last year, nearly one third did not agree that sex was binary.Sally Satel, a lecturer at Yale University School of Medicine, also warned about the creep of diversity culture into western institutions.

“The unchecked growth of diversity, equity, and inclusion bureaucracies within academia, industry, and government has become perhaps the biggest threat to academic freedom, free enquiry, merit, and fairness in the West today,” she wrote.

“Universities have created vast bureaucracies under the guise of what is generally called diversity, equality and inclusion. They are accountable to no one and police both behaviour and language.”

Well that we can agree on, it's obviously a cis man taking advantage of the system, but I still never really see you really condemn the acts of straight white cis men - usually if you do it's about one coopting a trans identity and you ask the question why trans women aren't doing anything about it, instead of asking why aren't cis men doing anything about it when they're the ones doing it....

Because you constantly say that trans women and the LGBT to speak up on the crimes being committed by them, while I have never seen you put the onus on the straight, cis male community to speak up even though it's their demographic doing it, that's why.

The articles aren't posted with good intention to shine a spotlight on the crimes of men and how it's awful for both women and trans women, they are posted with the intention to say "this is why the 'trans movement' is problematic'.
