Northern Railway Line Leeds : Now on Hold until after the Budget

Costing much more than £10 Billion
It is now a project on hold.

ITV Lunch News brought us this grim news

[The hold-up on Northern Powerhouse Rail
means potential future improvements
to rail connectivity between Leeds
and other cities
will be further delayed.
Existing upgrades:
The Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU)
is proceeding and includes significant improvements
to the existing line between Leeds and Manchester.]
