I remember trying to win a competition or something ,it involved collecting the pepsi lids with the spice girls brand on or something. I think I was trying to win something big ,I think you only needed a few to get a poster.....but I think I wanted tickets or something ...gosh I feel old .

Crazy to have so much success with basically one half decent ( scouse) singer and a mish mash of half decent looking young women .

I recall thinking that posh spice was very close to being perfect ( looking)

I suppose it's that business mindset. With the right pitches and man call sell a chupa lollipops on the side corner and eventually build an empire


But in this case the girls did genuinely have catchy songs

Oddly enough 30 years later , there is a new girl group ( massive already but yet to break the UK ) who are not at all dissimilar to the Spice Girls in that the six young women are all so different to each other - though they ate all very good singers and indeed dancers .
My granddaughters love them and they are riding on the skirts of the KPop phenomenon and that Demon Hunter movie / soundtrack.

They are called Katseye
