Default Does the internet ruin BB

I was just thinking, when the house pics are revealed i always click to see them before the launch, to me the best part of the launch is seeing the house, I think the internet sites that leak the information on BB early sort of ruin BB for me, Anyone else think the same??

i don't use the internet the day before BB or the day of the launch. I think it spoils is. Last year i gave in and found out that there would be twins and all girls. ....it kind of spoiled the suprise.

I think that another online aspect that ruins BB (although this is more on digitalspy) is the way theat everyone is always so negative....

*not as good as BB5
* rubbish housemates
*may as well cancel the show now

That really grinds me.

The Internet is like the press for BB news. They need it to attract people.

BB is more popular than people think.

But i like knowing stuff personally.

Me too, I hate the way people always complain. If its so **** then why do you watch it, why do you come on BB forums.

If you don't like finding out stuff then don't click the links simple as.

there's no way your gonna avoid house pictures. Especially if your going to visit here. Not to mention the pics being on a good few other websites/fansites, magazines/newspapers and the house adverts when they are broadcast.

I think it does yeah. It spoils so much for me, but it's my own fault because I can't stop myself from looking...especially a few hours before launch or when rumours of a twist appear.

Au contraire, internet forums are an integral part of the BB experience. Nearly all the factually correct information on websites is that released by the production team. Bar the occasional aerial photo of the garden we've had nothing this year other than that which BB want us to know (and most of that is teasing, rather than informing).

Speculation and anticipation are quite high, and that is a good thing.

I shut myself off from the outside world come the days before BB because there are some spoilers which i would rather keep until the launch
As for the internet it doesn't ruin it because we go looking for it and it is put right in-front of us and although they put spoilers on it we all still look!
As for the house i would rather wait until launch but they advertise it on the TV and i love! house designs and so for me its irresistible!

I won't be on TIBB and others BB related sites when the press pack will be released. I want to keep the surprise.

It's not just the internet as has been said - it's leaked in newspapers and magazines. It's one of those things that's going to happen.

I'm only on TiBB for the build up. When the main show is on I don't bother with BB forums because it ruins surprise as to whos liked and who isn't. Makes evictions less predictable especially when betting odds aren't visible.

great thread chrissy. i gave in to looking at the celeb hijack hms and house pics and i regret doing it. when any house pics are revealed or a house ad comes on i will turn off the tv or computer. i would like everything to be a total surprise this year, except for what i have already seen. this is an interesting point.

yeah same here. Anyway big brother wouldn't be half as much fun without forums to rant and rave about housemates wouldn't it.
