Why are you so outraged over a man protecting his community against violent authority and not outraged by the violent authority just out of interest? Worth remembering they shot an innocent women less than a week before this took place. People were scared and angry and protective.

Between 68-75% of people ICE have detained have no criminal convictions.

Of the 25-35% of those detained with criminal convictions, about 9% have convictions for violent crime and 15% of them have drug offences. Just to recap that’s 9% and 15% of the 30% of detainees.

Yep. That’s what it looks like this is really about. It comes across as if ICE are suddenly showing up because the state doesn’t lean Republican, not because of any genuine security issue.

The whole thing is starting to feel uncomfortably authoritarian. If a state doesn’t vote the way the administration wants, suddenly you’ve got federal agents or tactical units appearing with unclear authority but seemingly wide latitude on the use of force. It’s hard not to see that as a warning shot rather than legitimate law enforcement.
