Default Mikey - depressing you?

Am I the only one who finds watching Mikey being ushered around everywhere depressing?

I feel that he's being used to make BB look good and also to help other housemates get good edits for showing him around everywhere.

It's getting me down, the whole toast thing with Dale and Mohammed in the kitchen in tonights H/L show made me think "Why the -hell- did BB do this?!"

I think the housemates are being very tolerant so far - e.g. making toast, guiding him, etc.
But after a while I think they will start to get tired of it and become less tolerant of his needs.

I agree.

And blindness aside, I don't find him a very interesting or engaging housemate.

If he wasn't blind, he'd just be a carbon copy of Seány. He agitates me.

It'll be interesting to see if he's voted out. I don't really know how he's going to be able to compete in the majority of the tasks. It may be painful to watch. I hope he doesn't slow down the series. I think it's great that a disabled person is getting a shot at the show, but if he really can't take part, what's the real point?

He is sort of depressing me, I feel sorry for him in a way which is something I don't want to feel when watching Big Brother.

In the nicest way possible, I really don't want to spend my summer watching the housemates have to guide him around.

Also, I don't mean this in a nasty way but if he is evicted properly and he has his interview and everything, what are they going to do about his best bits?

I was just thinking about that a bit earlier.

I think Mikey has been added as a learning curve for everyone. I didn't know of any blind people before the show and I actually find it interesting to see how blind people cope. I think the housemates have been very accomodating to his needs and that was good to see. I do however feel that some of the housemates could be helping him to better themselves rather than forming an actual friendship with the guy.

Exactly Chris! and ifhe gets reaaly far on the sympathy vote through the housemates not nominating him, that will suck, because he is no ones favourite housemate.

Definitely! It seems half the show tonight was him being ushered around and people explaining everything to him - like cleaning the table! It doesn't make great viewing and he seems quite unstable to me!

Why do you think it isn't fair on him?? Surely he wanted to go into BB and did so off his own back..

He must've know what he was getting himself into.... I just hope the tasks don't have to change too much to include him.
