Is anyone fed up with Michael's edit on the highlights show ?
Half of the highlights is all about him, the edit is made in his favour by showing him crying and being alone, or being defended by Mario. They show him all the time even when it's not necessary, I mean there are 15 other housemates in there, why him ? I think the producers are trying to make him as the 'lonely blind man who has no defence'. I'm also scared that people may complain about the supposed bullying since Mario is still on the subject and does a very job at convincing the other housemates he's not normal while Michael may be blind, but not stupid. Michael said he doesn't want to use the blind card but it's exactly what he is doing by being the centre of the attention and it seems that the producers love this. It doesn't make me want to watch the show since I already know it will be all about him or focused on him and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way. So do you think the producers are trying to favour him with the editing he gets ? |

Me!
![]() I was one of the biggest supporters of having a blind housemate in the house before the series started. Most people aired their views on how he shouldn't have been allowed in the house, but I stuck by him and said a blind housemate is fine. Unfortunately, I didn't expect MIKEY. What an annoying, perverted, scumbag of a "man". He is creepy and sinister, gets angry for no reason - and yet it all reflects positively on him in the highlights when he is given a large chunk of airtime. |

Thats a bit severe, Mikey is not responsible for BB's editing, and after all what else is their to focus on ? how can we tell who's Mikey in a few days, if he is still testing the boundaries in a few weeks go ahead and oust him, I have dealt with lots of people who have become disabled, they do act pretty odd in new company until they assess the situation and calm down, until he does that we won't see the true Mikey.

The thing is, I'm sure there is some other good stories in the house other than Mario and Michael relationship. And you can clearly see the difference of screen time between Michael and the rest of the housemates. It may not be his fault, but the producers love this. And I'm sure the public will love it too and bring him very very far. |

also if Mario didn't keep telling us how disabled Mikey was we probably wouldn't notice him, once he learns his way aroud he will be able to integrate perfectly, people with disabilities are incredibly versatile because they have to be,Mario is scoring points as the good samaritain at Mikeys expense, just watch the git

i think it is all down to the editing and it is very often based on who the producers like and dislike or what they want the public to think

Oh for god sake...
Michael potentially being bullied is a STORYLINE in a reality show. Big Brother are bound to show something important like that on the highlight show. Their hardly NOT going to show Michael crying 'just to be fair to the other housemates'. People say dont play the blind card. Why so then is it odd for Michael to crop up on the show repeatedly? Why make a topic on it? Why not make a topic on why Mario , Steph or Alex gets so much time on the highlight show? |

I'm totally against having a blind man in the house as I feel it irresponsible and unfair to put someone in the house who basically cannot fend for himself. In Michael, the producers could not have picked a worse blind man. He's everything that Lauren says he is.
I think there has been a bit of drama surrounding Mikey in the past few days and the producers have focussed on him as the one who gets the best edit; even though he has been by far the rudest out of that group. I think Lisa and Mario got very bad edits last night - they came across as schemers - while I found myself feeling strangely sympathetic toward Mikey. I hope he goes soon. It was a mistake to put him in there in the first place. |

And secondly, could you add some proof to Michael being bullied ? Because I can't see any. Or I am blind. ![]() |

Being able to survive in a menagery whilst blind is quite some achievement, they all are doing something, some will go mad in the process,, bring it on

He put on a pair of thongs. Lats nights show was about the 'morning after'. He felt a bit sorry for himself. He is also caught up due to Mario being his best man , and as a result cried because he thought at first the wedding was being canceled because of an incedent involving him. Now do you expect Big Brother NOT to show these things happening on highlight shows? Or is it just all cool and preppy to hate the guy the British public takes sympathy on? |

I'd like to think the audience is a bit more aware of what's going on - and the fact that Mikey is in no way being bullied. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if that's the case. Having said that, I in no way think it's his fault that the edits show him: I would say that must be because he provides a contribution to what goes on within the day. Lately, I've been seeing less of him - particularly on the live feed - so maybe the highlights are a way to compensate for that? Or, in fact, what he does do is important enough to make it into the highlights?
I quite like him in the sense that he doesn't want any special treatment at all, and doesn't try to use his blindness as an excuse for anything else. He also doesn't even refer to it is a 'disability' - it was Mario who did that. Personally I don't see anything disgusting or creepy about him - he seems pretty harmless to me. I think he tries to compensate for the fact that he's blind to be more outrageous and 'fun' (as he sees it) when he can get away with it. I'm not saying that's right, but we cannot comprehend his mentality, just the same way we cannot fully understand anyone's. I was going to say he could continue as long as he isn't harming anybody, but what he did a few days ago clearly affected Sylvia, and he could've been more tactful. I'd put that down to the fact that he's probably not used to situations like that and therefore wasn't sure how to react. That doesn't necessarily make him stupid, or dumb: it could be related to any person who isn't used to such situations. Finally, I really cannot see him winning at all so I don't see why people are quick to jump and attack a housemate who's only been there a few days. He doesn't do anything particularly fun (except when he does he gets carried away), he goes to bed early, and, the way I see it, he tries to distance himself from the others in order to not attract attention to himself: the complete opposite of what people seem to think he's doing. |

It happens every year. BB chooses a couple of HMs to favour, and gives them a lot more airtime than they deserve. |

But what undeserved airtime did he possibly get last night? Their was an incedent , and it involved him!
Clutching at straws at this stage , really. |

Mikey is getting a disproportionately high amount of air time in comparison to the other HM's. If its not him trying to be outrageous it's Mario banging on about his disability.
Given what has happened, and Mikeys blindness, I feel its inevitable but not entirely fair. Mikey's disability is dominating the show and the sooner we, and the HM's, get over it then the sooner the series can get going. |
