Big Brother 9: Mario Marconi On The Telly
“MARIO beat me up, says ex-lover,” says the Sun. “Big Brother’s Mario is a violent bully with a vicious temper,” says Denise Bailey, “now happily married with three children.”

Says Denise: “I want people to know the truth — that he is a very nasty person who does not deserve fame and celebrity status. He is jealous, obsessive and violent. I think in 13 weeks on Big Brother, his true colours will show.”

Denise is not bitter nor obsessive, just keen to tell Sun readers that 20 years ago Mario, nee Shaun Astbury, aka the “BBEAST” is a complete swine who gave her a busted lip, black eye and punched her in the stomach.

Says Denise, who lives on “an exclusive estate near Premiership soccer players”: “I am not saying this for financial gain but to tell people what he is really like. I am not scared of him any more.”

Mario has appeared on BBC2’s Kitchen Criminals, Brits Behind Bars and Ant and Dec on Saturday Night Takeaway.

I think its terrible if this is made up, as domestic abuse is a thing alot of people can relate too, and have experienced, and is no joke...so to to it for exposure or finacial gain is SHOCKING!

Yeah, I wouldn't completely right her off, because that isn't fair if it is true. Just seems a bit suspicious when stories suddenly spring out of nowhere when they enter bb. If it was really that bad, she should have reported it when it happened and there'd be a record.

Im not saying I believe it....

BUT....IF it were true, its sometimes a hard thing for a woman to admit, or go to the police about, she could have been scared...then after she re-married, she maybe didnt see much of him and put it to the back of her mind...

Then one day seeing your abuser on national TV, playing the nice guy, could spark to want to show him for what he is.

I bear that in mind too, trouble is, you hear so many stories like this now, it's hard to know which ones to believe.

It'll be interesting to see how he reacts to it when he leaves the house- that could be very telling.

Only problem is, they won't bring it up in his interview and after that, he'll probably just fade back into obscurity like they all do...

she'll have been given some money for it. and its in the sun so its not the most reliable newspaper really. i doubt its true.
