Default More Zero Tolerance?

Lets have more zero tolerance and more people thrown in jail.

I enjoyed last night episode almost solely because of the punishment. It invariably creates discussion among the group about each other and speculation as to the nature of the crime. I think BB is often at its best when taking a tough line with the HM's

What do you reckon?

I agree. Had a crap start and like I have said numerous times - it's not zero tolerance when there is some tolerance.

I'd love to see housemates suffer for their actions, but throwing them in a small prison doesn't make for great entertainment. Yesterday, those who were discussing BB auditions and were punished for it, were all quite happy to go into the jail, if BBs punishment system was a good one, it'd be every man for himself in that house.. and that would be entertaining.

I think it started a bit too late and now the housemates don't take it as a punishment but as a joke. This is disappointing, the zero tolerance theme flops.
Next theme please !

We need more zero tolerance, there isnt enough of this being done.

I want to see more punishments and more time in jail.

I don't think I would be all that bothered at going into jail for a couple of hours, they need to make it longer and harsher somehow.

The jail isn't really punishing the housemates, they need to think of new punishments for the housemates.

They should play clips of luke bitching to the rest of the house for no reason other than pure entertainment value!

Yes!
With all the housemates!
That should have been their punishments for discussing auditions and whatnot.
Damn those unimaginative gits at BB.

I wish they would get a little more harsh with the HMs who have up until now had an easy ride of things. I dont think the jail was a real punishment in any shape or form, in fact the HMs seemed quite happy to go sit in the garden.

I'm glad to see they are being punished for rule-breaking, but I agree with Sunny_01 in that I didn't think it was much of a punishment at all. They did seem content to be out there.

That's what I thought.

Playing clips of them bitching would be a much better punishment, especially if they showed luke bitching because a lot of them still aren't aware that he does it and he is so clear in his bitching.

It'd be so funny watching mario's face if they played luke bitching about him!

I think they've been waiting for them to settle in properly before zero tolerance came into play and last nights name and shaming was good. But there were 7 of them- I think 2 should have been forced to go to jail, 2 in solitary confinement and 2 from the luxury bedroom should have been forced to move into the basic bedroom. The final one should have been given a warning.

I think its a bit unfair how a lot of them got away with it and there is more scope and possibilities to crack down on zero tolerance. But I think Rex & Mo had a decent enough punishment because they were forced to sleep in the jail and with it being dark, summer and a big light in the jail then I bet there were a lot of those annoying small fly things in there.

its good they finally using punishment but its not enough and too little too late now if they were sent to prision and not allowed to talk to others or have things passed to them etc then i think it would be better

They should have gave the viewers what we were promised. Zero tolerance to mean...zero! This BB has not been tough at all. I mean, the jail for example. Oh, what a punishment! It should be so tough that the HM dread going in there - not nominating themselves to go in! BB3 was better with the rich/poor divide.

Zero tolerance? More like zero punishment!

What is so bad about the jail, it's a joke!

Send them to the chair I say!

What happened to the Solitary confinement?
It won't be much of a surprise to those Kareoki marathon housemates.

It has really annoyed me how this Zero Tolerance thing hasn't happened. Yes they've punished a few of them..but jail isn't that bad. They need to make it less enjoyable, perhaps throw a few stink bombs in or something or give the other housemates a treat while they are in there.
And by the way, I am sure I saw Alex smoking with her legs outside the ashtray on numerous occasions, yet nothing was done. What's going on Big Brother?!

Showing the housemates gossiping to each other would be a BAD punishment! Why? Because then everyone will realize that if they slip up their gossip will be broadcast and STOP gossiping, which is one of the best parts of the show. We don't want that, do we?

But I agree that there needs to be a better punishment. Maybe something like solitary confinement. They have the room already and it would be much more of a punishment if they can't talk to the other housemates. They could leave the offending housemate there for several hours or even days depending on the severity of the crime. I'd love it if one housemate for a very serious crime even had to spend weeks there! I'm so evil...
