Default Weekend raitings less than 1.9m!

SATUDAY 1.9M
On Channel 4 at 9pm, 1.9m (10%) tuned in to watch the Saturday highlights of Big Brother. The no. of viewers on C4+1 are currently unavailable, but will be posted on Monday.

It was a very low night of ratings yesterday, with Casualty being the top show with 4.8m (26%). No other show on TV passed the 4m mark. There were far fewer people watching television last night compared to normal, unsurpringly due to the summer holidays and weather.

Big Brother came third in its slot behind BBC1 and ITV1. Casualty won the slot, and Foyle’s War came second with 3.4m (19%). Big Brother was the most watched show yesterday on Channel 4, BBC2 and Five.

SUNDAY 2.9M
It was the least watched Sunday show since week 3, when only 2.7m (11%) tuned in.

The low figures for the last two days is predominantly to do with the extremely good weather. The number of people watching television over the weekend was the lowest of the year.

ITV1 won the slot yesterday, with Midsomer Murders attracting 6.6m (30%).

Also, confirmation of Friday and Saturday’s ratings (which include C4+1) are in. On Friday, the first show got 3.8m (18%). The second show at 10.35pm rated with 3.2m (19%). On Saturday, the highlights show passed the 2m mark with 2.3m (12%).

Saturday shows are the best ones in fairness.. I don't really enjoy them that much.

I don't really care anymore, my friends hate BB and I know a lot of other people do - but I like it! Why is it such a big issue to the media and papers about the viewing figures for it? Do they do that about every other programme on TV?? It's just coz it's a love or hate type show - and the haters want to find anything they can to drag its name through the mud.

I'm beyond caring tbh.

ratings are going to be bad as the public have evicted the most entertaining housemates! not many people want to watch rachel and kat singing and mo and darnell wondering about!

When the weather is as nice as it has been I am sure most people at 9pm on a Friday/Saturday/Sunday are out enjoying themselves than stuck indoors watching BB. It is repeated enough on a sunday or can watch on internet or sky+ so no need to watch then anyway

*cracks up*

Funnily enough, if Channel 4 aren't happy with the ratings it WILL end up bothering you.

God, Channel 4 is crap - they MUST have shows with less viewers than BB! And anyway, BB is repeated at all different times, and also on E4, so they can't just go on the Channel 4 evening show alone!

No wonder ratings were low, Bex was still in. Now she's gone they should spike a bit.
