Default I just watched Luke\'s eviction...

He got cheered like crazy! And deservedly too. This makes me think the eviction was a fluke. He only got 37% of the vote. That means that 63% of people really wanted him to stay. The problem was that this was divided up among all of the other housemates.

If it had been Luke vs. Dale, or voting to save, I'm sure Luke would have stayed because he actually is very popular. I think this is like Nikki's fluke eviction when she was up against a lot of people.

I think Luke is more hated than Dale is,so he probably still would have been evicted. I wish he hadn't though,I really miss Luke.

I don't think so. Luke was the second favorite to win following Kathreya, more popular than Nikki was when she was evicted (3rd favorite to win). Dale was way behind him.

Before Luke was announced as being evicted he was second last favourite. And when it was supposed to be him v Dale, he was 1/3 fave to leave.

Yeah he was liked but he had more haters than Dale had. Evictions are never whether you'd liked, its whose hated more.

Luke would've definitely left if it were against only Dale.

I'd say Luke's more unpopular than he his popular.

Okay, okay, but it DOES mean that 63% of people would rather have had someone else go, and I think a lot of them were supporting Luke, considering he was second favorite to win. I wish just that week had been voting to save.

Luke wasn't second favourite to win. Luke drop significantly within the last week that he was in there (once to fourth and the next third to last, it was no surprise.)

Every time someone is up that person's odds drop simply because people know if that person gets evicted they won't get any money. Happened to Mohamed and the rest of them as well. Because of this one can only get an accurate idea of a housemate's popularity by looking at the odds before that person was up. In Luke's case he was second to win.

Nah, Mohamed has consistently stayed at bottom spot to win (pre and post Luke eviction).

Yes, odds would go down, but if they were a well-liked housemate, surely they wouldn't lose their spot as #2. Kathreya certainly stayed #1, Darnell stayed up there, etc. It was dead certain that he was going to go. I didn't see anyone else have a dramatic odds drop when they were up for eviction.

Did you read my post? I'm not saying people didn't expect him to go. I'm saying people did expect him to go and that's why his odds to win went way down. Doesn't mean people don't like him. They're just trying to be clever about they're betting. 37% is very little, even with the number that were up, considering Luke was such a huge character. Had it been vote to save he would definitely have stayed. Remember Nikki's eviction? She was very popular too, but when up against the rest of the house she was also evicted (and with the EXACT SAME percentage as Luke, mind you!) and cheered as well.

He didn't get cheered like crazy, he got comparatively more cheers, but there were still boos. 37% of the vote with 8 nominees is actually a lot, it doesn't mean 63% really wanted him to stay, it means 63% wanted someone else to go over him. So whilst 37% wanted him out, 63% wanted either Dale, Darnell, Kathreya, Mohamed, Rachel, Rex or Stuart out. That's a landslide.

I think Luke would have gone against Dale anyway.

Nikki & Luke were more popular than many of their other housemates, but also they were more unpopular than most of them, hence their eviction. If Nikki was widely popular, she would have cruised through the opening weeks, but she only beat Sam (not a popular housemate) by 53% - 47%, which indicated she had a lot of people that disliked her. Luke is the same, and I think he would have gone over Dale, because whilst with Nikki vs Sam, Sam didnt have many fans, Dale does, and so the act of Luke's fans voting to evict Dale would have been cancelled out by Dale's fans voting Luke, and overall, Luke was more unpopular than Dale.

8 nominees would be expected to get 12.5% of the public vote each. Luke got 37% thats almost three times the average for that eviction!

Yeah he got a great reaction but i don't think he would have stayed if he was up against Dale because that proved it when he was up against everyone last week
