Default X Factor judges tip groups for success

Quote:
X Factor judges Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole have become convinced that a group will win this year's series.

After sitting through a number of impressive auditions from bands, the pair have named the 'groups' category as their top choice to mentor.

"There are a few bands which are really hot this year," an insider told the Daily Star. "Louis and Cheryl think if they get them, they can win. They've been dropping hints."

A group has yet to win the ITV1 talent competition, which returns for a fifth series on August 16.

They are always so desperate for a group to win - and they sank to new lows last year when they made two groups of rejected contestants - and chose them over already made groups.

Yeah groups seem to stand no chance; Same Difference did well I suppose, but then I wouldn't really classify them as a "group" personally. I wanted Hope to win last year, but obviously they kept scraping through so y'know. Unless there's a really fantastic group, I don't think we'll be seeing any groups in the final this year!

They've said this in previous years but it never happens.
