Default Boyband impress X Factor judges

Quote:
four-piece London boyband impressed the judges on this week's episode of X Factor.

Pop hopefuls JLS told Dermot O'Leary that they want to be the first boyband to win the reality show.

JB Gill, Marvin Humes, Oritse Williams and Aston Merrygold, who claimed that their influences include Take That, Boy 2 Men and Westlife, performed a rendition of 'If I Ever' for the four judges.

Cheryl Cole was the first to pass comment, telling the boys: "I love you! I think the industry is missing a boyband and you rule, the vibe is great between you."

Dannii Minogue said: "I like your personalities and it's the first time I like each voice in a group."

Joining the chorus of approval, Louis Walsh added: "I loved everything about it, you're not contrived, you have an early Motown feel to you.

"I thought you were absolutely terrific, great voices, very very happy with you."

Cheryl concluded the discussion, saying: "I hope I get you in my category."

The X Factor airs on ITV1 tonight at 7:30pm.

All the judges have tipped these to be a contender to win in other interviews

I hope by 'Boyband' they mean 'A brand new band consisting of four totally unique members with their own personalities, styles and recognizable voices' in contrast to the usual 'hey we're a few blokes that sound like westlife, look like take that and wanna be as successful as boyzone'. =|

I doubt a group will ever win the X Factor (Unless it's a duo, they always seem to come close). I think it's because we never get to know or relate to them as much as the singular acts.

But then again if it's true about less sob stories this year then who knows? However if Louis gets the groups they are screwed, he's irrelevent now all his acts always seem to be lifted from the 90's after he is through with them.

But then again the winner from the previous year always gets the groups so they might have Danni.

I really liked them. But who said there was no boyband? Sure Take That are a manband by now but what about McFly?

They were brilliant. It was really well organised.

Anyone remember Ghostt from last year, I see similarities.
