Default Kat\'s reception: on behalf of the British public...

...I wish to apologise to any non-British people for the disgusting reception Kat got last night. We booed and jeered a woman who was already sobbing and clearly in emotional distress. Yes, I'm embarrassed and ashamed to admit it but that’s how we treat people in the UK.

Judging by similar posts, cue the following inane responses:

“Who are you to speak on behalf of the British public?” – Well, someone has to.

“She deserved everything she got.” - There speaks a man who knows how to treat a lady. Form an orderly queue, girls, for this fine catch!

“Traitor!” – Woohoo!

I'm more upset the British people voted Bex out of the house. That was just wrong.

...I don't see what that has to do with anything in this thread.

Anyway, I think that was horrible. She was sobbing going "I don't want to go" and she gets boos on her way out? Horrible.

Yeah that was sick wasn't it. I'd spit in the face of the people who voted Bex out.

Well, brandstifter said "Yes, I'm embarrassed and ashamed to admit it but that’s how we treat people in the UK."

So, in keeping in line with "how the UK treats people" I mentioned how the UK people treated Bex, so it was somewhat in line with the thread, somewhat..

Rachel is a shining example of how great UK people can be and I'd love to see her win. She rocks.

Yeah, how unfair. After all, all she did was cut up someone's birthday present with a pair of scissors, bully housemates, slander people behind their backs, waste valuable food by chucking it at unsuspecting people, never do any washing up and deliberately keep people awake at night. She should have won!

Oh, I don't know about winning, but she was one of the more entertaining housemates to watch. She went way too early IMHO.

@brandstifter: I accept your apology. Not expecting it, but it's such a nice gesture to take responsibility for others' actions.

I agree that her reception was disgusting. No one who makes it to the final week deserves to get booed, PERIOD (even Rex!). The public had an opportunity to evict her in Week 8, but they didn't. And now, people are pointing out that she's "fake", "manipulative", a "game player", etc., and it makes me sick. Why can't people just accept that Kat was a GENIUNELY nice person? It IS possible, you know...

endrant.

Well, I know that even though she got booed, she still has 2 fans (my friend and I) here in Hawaii.

I understand that Kat was crying and stuff but I dont think its fair to complain about her being booed and no one else, thats like saying no one else has feelings. I bet everyone is upset by the booing but if you go on BB then you have to face the facts. I was a bit distressed by it but then if you think about it... she cries at everything anyway.
Not sticking up for the crowd or anything but everyone gets booed, its just part of BB. If she thought she was gonna get cheers then more fool her!

yep agree...
Housemates should get booed / cheered whatever ... it's all part of the panto ... it just looked bad because she was in tears ( again) when they boo-ed her. Plus she cut a pretty pathetic figure in the white bath robe ....hehe wow!
But if your against boo-ing then it's got to be across the board and not just for YOUR favs.

She did deserve it. Yeah, yeah, I don't know how to treat a lady, bla bla bla, but Kathreya was a manipulative, scheming, EVIL, vicious woman! She was disgusting in her treatment of other housemates with her (very subtle) bullying tactics. So, yes, I wish she'd gotten booed more! And she was only crying because her plans had FAILED and people had figured her out. Bye!

Oh, and the problem with this post is that even in the original post you're attacking anyone who might disagree with you. I bet a lot of men who saw right through Kathreya didn't respond to this because of your implication that it would make them somehow less desirable to women.

Seeing right through Kathreya is not mutually exclusive with seeing how distressed she was and subsequently booing her.

It was not a normal eviction night, and therefore it was bad enough for her to leave without hearing boos. But instead, she got quite a lot of it. Yes, people found her fake and annoying, but she could have done without that added crowd reaction, particularly because they've cheered HMs I didn't expect them to cheer on some eviction nights. And they had a proper eviction and all.

and it's not how we treat people in the UK you ridiculous arse. the streets of Britain are not littered with mobs booing sobbing women. it's a gameshow. do you get it?

and people don't treat others entirely according to their gender. most people treat others depending on the respect they deserve. Kat, and you, don't deserve much. do you get that?

Now, why don't you apologise to any non-British people for this post.

Don't feel like you have to apologise for me. I didn't boo and jeer. Why should I waste my money voting for someone I didn't want in the house so its not my fault she got kicked out. Did you vote for her well done if you did that makes you sanctimonious, if you didn't that makes you a hypocrite. Kat is not a naive child and I wish people would stop and think about that, she put herself on the show knowing theres a good chance you are either loved or hated. Its a no brainer really.

I'm sick of the booing and have said so on many occasions. As last nights episode proved, the BB production staff can keep the crowd quiet when they need to, so why can't they stop them from booing. I don't think you should blame the British public I think you should blame the BB production staff.

Having said that, of all HM's this series I think Kat was one who did deserve a hostile reception. I think she's a very manipulative individual. She seems to go from extreme happiness to extreme sadness with very little middle ground. I don't think I've ever come across someone like that. She seems to cope quite well with the tasks and the rations but as soon as Darnell jokingly told her he wanted her to leave she loses the plot completely. There's something about her that isn’t quite right.

She wasn't crying for that long, as soon as she saw Davinia and the cameras she completely changed and was laughing and joking. She didn't seem that cut up about it in the interview either. Crocodile tears. Its a game show not a national disaster.

Katreya is a 30-year-old woman who acts like a 3-year-old child. She deserved to be booed.

She should have been evicted weeks ago.
