I cried so much when I watched this, and everybody in the cinema stayed until the end credit and the lights went on and left in absolute silence.

Ugh such a disappointment. Proves I was correct in my prediction that a story with this much depth could not be transfered to screen without doing injustice. If you haven't read the book I strongly advise you to though.
