i've had a few ideas for the next series(should we get one)of big brother..how about for the first week the girls are kept to one side and the boys the other..but no see through barrier..i'm talkin' a complete blockade so they get to know eachother first and then..BANG..the opposite sex appears!!

I think that's quite an interesting idea

It would mean that each group would get to know each other well, and then the integration would hopefully curtail the pairing off we've seen this year. it got very tedious just seeing groups of two people all touchy feely.

It might even stop the bitchiness that we've had this year from the girls. i don't think this group of girls has really tried to get to know each other because they automatically selected their male partner straight away and didn't bother to try and bond with members of their own sex.

I don't think it will happen, and to be honest I just want it to go back to the way it was last year but it's certainly a good thought!

That is a good thought and it would be interesting because you would see how girls and boys act differently when they are around each other and when they are not. But like Janette I like the old format - its simple but its the best one!

I like the idea that they would have to form opinions and friendships based on just their personality and you could see if their relationship would change if they weren't attracted to each other face to face.

It's an interesting idea and would make an interesting dating show even if it wasn't incorporated in Big Brother - sort of a extra long 'Blind Date'!

I am not mad keen on this idea, I think it is just a slightly different variant of the divide and I for one didn't like that at all.

I agree that they had a good format so why change it???????????

I think it would only work for a few days - a week at the most - at the start. I just think it would be interesting experiment about personalities & appearances.

My first reaction to this was that I didn't like the idea at all and it reminded me of the divide caused by the bars.

However, after reading Janette's post I think I agree with her that it would be very interesting to see how the two groups bonded with each other before the extra pressures of impressing the opposite sex entered the equation.
