Default Will people \'get\' Diana?

On shows like X Factor, you're only good as a female singer if you can come out and belt out ballads. Now Diana is quite good but shes different, so will people get her?

I'm on about the public as a whole here, not the forums.

No, the general public won't do.

because shes different and people only really accept female singers on shows like this if they're like Leona

I wouldn't like to say.
I hope so, she's one of the most unique contestants we've had in a while, so it'd be great if they did.
As I've said before, I really want a unique winner.

I love her because she's different, but I think Alexandra will go further than her unfortunately.

The public wont get her
They wont see her as good unless she sings brilliant ballads each week like Leona

Then you have no idea how the public works. A female singer has never been successful in X Factor that hasn't done ballad after ballad with a really strong "Whitney/Mariah" voice.

I think they will. The public response so far has been positive I think, and young girls will want to be her mate, young guys will want to date her etc, and if she keeps to the u2 and her "niche" she could appeal to a big demographic of voters, and go onto win it.

She won't win. She could get near though.

I think that Diana is a very shy singer and does not show off her voice as much as she could, But i think that if she stays in over thenext few weeks, we could see a much more powerful side of Diana

Sad but true.
The past winners/finalists of X-Factor shows that unique acts+singers don't tend to do too well.

I'm not sure that everyone will, there's a fair few older people who watch the show and I cannot see her being to their taste.

She's the type of act who will have a lot of support on here, but that won't transfer across to the public. She's too far out for most of the public to truly understand. Imagine if Amy Winehouse had come through the X Factor - I doubt she'd have won, because she's a love/hate sort of person. I hope Diana does well after the X Factor though, she's really talented.

I think Diana is someone who will get lots of support here, but I feel she wont get much support from the general public. But having strong support on forums, usually comes in handy eg. Rachel winning BB9, Aisleyne coming 3rd, George Sampson winning BGT ect...
