Hi.
I'm thinking of buying an iMac. I had first decided on buying a Mac Mini but then when adding up all the price I thought I might aswell get an iMac. I want the 20 inch one and it says the cheapest one [I want the cheapest] is £799. Now, it seems there are loads of hidden costs. I want to buy the wired keyboard and wired mighty mouse but what software do I need to buy and how much extra will this add to the total price. I definetly need Microsoft Office. Also is there a way of transferring documents from a Windows machine to a Mac? It all seems so confusing. Thanks in advance ![]() |

You don't really need any software as it comes with iLife 08, depends what software you need, you can get office free using torrents. (I got links. ![]() Well the only thing I can suggest with transferring stuff is using a USB memory stick, slow I know but Windows & Macs hate each other when it comes to file sharing, you can transfer stuff but its worth looking up on the net how. Or a external Hardrive. |

Built-in AirPort Extreme Wi-Fi wireless networking2 (based on IEEE 802.11n draft (specification); IEEE 802.11a/b/g compatible Built-in Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) Built-in 10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45 connector) So basically its wireless like a laptop, and you won't need a cable. |
