Default Help For The Heroes - Mimed?

Do you think it was mimed? I've watched it back a few times now, and Im starting to think it wasn't mimed. One part that looks like they were singing mainly is around 3.00, and its Laura and Austin, Austin looks worried, I think tha was where Ruth and Daniel were supposed to be singing?
His voice goes really quiet..

What do you think?

Totally pathetic, if I was there at that moment and was told to go mime I would of gone on stage pretending I was gonna go along with it then I would just not move my mouth... and put a "Do you think im stupid" kind of look on my face.

To me now... all the performers are pathetic and they cant stand up for their own beliefs... miming! Psh! What a thing to teach people new to the business! Eughhh, my number 1 pet hate is miming, second pet hate is voices being butchered in studios... both of them happened in the performance.
I actually remember saying to myself, wow Eoghan sounds good... no wonder, because its been completely edited.

Mimed- Eoghans voice was digitally enhanced

Alexandra sounds like Ruth at one point because Ruth got stuck behind the door

Austin sounds like Daniel for the same reason

Did they think noone would notice?

I wouldn't call it pathetic, you just need to remember that they need to learn and rehearse two songs in a week, rehearsing a third song could have pulled the other two performances down and could make them leave the competition. Its easy to forget they only have a week.

Well for one this is their profession so they should be able to do it, and what are they going to do closer to the final? When they have over 3 songs to learn? Plus they have had 3 weeks to rehearse this single.. as I have mentioned, if you are not ready to sing, dont sing at all... dont just mime it!

But its too early in the competition for 3 songs on more than one level. They have to make sure they are the stand out act which is easier said than done. Then they don't have enough coaches to help rehearse 21 songs in such a week, or almost treble that if they've had 3 weeks to rehearse.

Yes, its their potential profession but they aren't quite there yet, they're practically singing for their lives and I'd rather they got their main performance spot on instead of some crap charity single hardly anyone will actually like anyway but will buy it just because its for XF on the cover.

I repeat... if you are not ready to perform, dont perform at all. IMO there is no excuse for miming... got a sore throat? Then dont perform... unrehearsed? Dont perform!

They have made fools of themselves and everyone knows they were miming, they have lost respect from me... so most likely a lot others. What bugs me even more is that they did this RIGHT infront of soldiers that are fighting for them, how disrespectful, miming in my opinion gives off a cant be arsed vibe... do we want an x factor winner like that? Im disappointed we have heard no news about one of them retaliating!

... because they probably don't actually care or didn't realise like I expect most of the views felt.

It probably as not even their fault they had to mime.. The producers told them they were miming so dont blame it all on the contestants FOM. They want to win Bad and if thy go off moaning and grunting.. they will look bad in front of the judges

Fine whatever... X factor is therefore even more pathetic than I thought it was. Seems people will do anything for fame these days... whatever happened to standing up to these people? Do I dare remind people that Kelly Clarkson turned down about 5 Major Recording deals before American Idol, and she turned down $10,000,000 to change 5 of her songs on her album.

Is fame and money all these people think about now? Tut... Im starting to despise X factor.

If she turned down record deals then surely that shows she would also do anything for fame and she knew she would probably get far in the show if she got past the producers? I honestly don't see what relevance she has though tbh.

X Factor is incredibly staged, it always has been- its nothing new. People have always gone on this type of show for fame and money, that also is nothing new. Even back to Popstars and Fame Academy, they wanted fame and money.

I raised that point because each record deal they asked her to sing Disney style power pop music, and she refused. Give that to any of the contestants these days and they would take it up without thinking!

No to get her break and to get recognized... which is why people should go on it. Leona did the same thing, she was a singer before X factor and tried to break the industry on her own. X factor gave her the break.

So yes? Its a bit of a daft thing to say they want fame and money and asking is that all its about. If they didn't then they wouldn't be on the show in the first place no matter how you disguise it as a 'break'.

Obviously mimed, a couple of them didn't have the mics to their mouths when it was their part to sing.

THE PERFORMANCE WAS TOTALLY MIMED FROM BEGINNING TO END. I knew from the second Eoghan started "singing" lol. They had also modified their voices in the studio to make them sound better.

It was kinda of the point. They were probably made to mime so the song sounded the best to present to people. If they sung a **** version of it, people wouldn't be impressed. At least if it sounded good it would have had a better impact.

And who cares if they mimed? We see them all sing live each week anyway. People moaning at the miming are just destroying the cause of the song. Forget how it was sung and appreciate the cause.

My post wasn't even aimed at you alone, so that personal attack wasn't needed.
