Brian Friedman rubbishes rumours of Dannii-Rachel feud

X Factor choreographer Brian Friedman says Rachel Hylton and Dannii Minogue are working well together.

The talent show contestant and her mentor were forced to issue statements this week denying tabloid reports of a split.

It was claimed that Rachel had sacked Dannii as her mentor on the ITV1 programme after poor song choices left her close to being voted off.

But speaking at the UK premiere of Body of Lies, Friedman said the pair are working happily together.

"Rachel loves Dannii, Dannii loves Rachel," he told reporters. "Everyone loves Rachel."

"She'll be doing the songs she chooses, which I believe is the right choice, as she knows her voice the best and Dannii's in agreement about that. It's going to be a good week for Rachel."

Mariah Carey will be singing live on this Saturday's show and Friedman revealed the remaining contestants were overwhelmed to rehearse with the diva.

"I think the most nerve-wracking thing you can possibly do is sing a Mariah Carey song in front of Mariah Carey, so in rehearsal [the contestants] were stressed out," he explained.

The former judge also confirmed that Britney Spears will be appearing on the live show next weekend.

"Britney is doing something she's never done before, she's got a whole new team working with her and according to her choreographers, she's doing amazingly," he added.

"She's kicking ass in rehearsals and she's totally excited about doing the X Factor."

When asked about who he thought the most likely winner of this year's show was, the dance svengali was elusive, replying: "Diana… Laura… Alexandra… JLS… Ruth… Rachel."
