Default Honestly, was JLS bad with Baby one more time?

I still cant believe what judges said during that song, i still think it was their best performance of the series. Their vocals were perfect on that song, and I always criticize them when they are bad. Like last week, they were out of tune, and a few other performances, but this one was flawless, I dont know if I am watching a different show or what. What was bad about that performance at all? Id like someone to point something out to me that was bad about it!

It sounded awkward to me, and once again they let Aston take control, though the judges didn't criticise that so I'm not really sure why. For me it just didn't work, I can't really explain why, I think it's partially down to the theme - Britney Spears worked against JLS and Eoghan tonight.

I just dont know what people were expecting. They were flawless vocally, and they have never been before. I could always find some bad moments in their other performances, but in this one there was none, so I just dont get why the judges would love the ones where they were clearly out of tune, like that take that number last week!

See I don't see the bad in Eoghans Britney song either, I much preferred it to his HSM rendition (which was btw another sneaky move Simon does with his acts, it pretty much ensures every tween and young teen will vote for them. He did it with SD last year too).

I know! Though it looked like such a joke after Dannii had made the High School Musical comment on his Britney song, haha.

I just can't wait for wait for when he has the oldies and makes them sing Summertime

"What time is it? Medication time!"

Oh and btw, it's Baby One More Time, not Hit Me Baby One More time, lol

That's one of my pet hates when people say it wrong.

I just rewatched the VT on their 2nd song! Simon says, this could be the song that gets them in the semi final if they pull it off, its their last chance. That proves the judges already had decided to slate them on the Britney song. HOw the hell did he know it was their last chance, and that they werent great with the 1st song!

Probably either;

1) he already said Baby one more time was a huge mistake
and
2) he meant that because they were in the bottom 2 last week, they had one more chance and this song could save them.

Aston and the back up singers were pretty awful with the Britters song I thought.

It was ok, better then Eoghan's two performances. However I really think Aston carries the band, he is vocally the best male singer this year.

Vocally it was good but it wasn't really a performance, they just kind of stood there and sung then climbed under a bar and was very boring for JLS

No it wasnt a bad effort, but I agree with shorty they only have one singer who carries the group... but that never stopped the spice girls career.

They are, and were better than Eoghan (did anyone even hear him sing the 2nd song?) because of the shouting I think they edged Ruth on the night, and as for Diana, well just turning up on time to perform already beats this one track howler, I'm still convinced she is a spoof contestant and on finals night Dermot will let us in on the joke when she has a sing off with Peter Kay's ****** charector

Glad a few people agree. Still think, after rewatching again, it was an outstanding performance. And I would be the same to slate JLS, when they are bad, cause I expect a lot from them.

Theyre not my fave but I thought they were good Saturday, I liked their version better than Britneys. I couldnt believe the criticism they got...it was their best since disco week

It was decent version. I think the judges think they're not going to win the contest so are giving them more criticism.
