X FACTOR’S Britney Spears night turned into a bizarre circus, The Sun can reveal.

Show supremo Simon Cowell was BANNED from meeting the star in her room by minders.

And he and judges Cheryl Cole, Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue were forced to HUDDLE in a corridor to grab a photo with her.

When Britney, 26, performed her single Womanizer on the live talent contest, she MIMED . . . badly.

Finally, she SCARPERED minutes after Saturday’s show and went to London’s G.A.Y. club. Britney — in a Rolling Stones T-shirt — failed to sing even though 1,500 fans chanted her name and gave her a cake for her birthday on Tuesday.

Her appearance on Saturday’s X Factor helped pull in 12.8million viewers — its highest ever rating.

But behind the scenes, her comeback album’s title Circus looked particularly appropriate.

Special guest Britney refused to use a Winnebago motorhome at the studios in North West London, like other stars. She was given Cowell’s green room as a dressing room.

After Saturday’s first show, her minders even sealed off the corridor outside. An insider said: “You have never seen so many heavies.

“Even around the judges’ dressing rooms was sealed off by Britney’s security people. When the judges went to meet her, her security wouldn’t let anyone past.”

When they finally met, Cowell asked the troubled star if she had seen the five acts perform her songs. Britney replied: “No”.

The insider said: “Everyone was stunned she admitted that she hadn’t watched the show. There’s a TV in the dressing room.

“Simon tried to have a conversation, but Britney was pretty vacant. In the end he just walked off.”

Host Dermot O’Leary was equally baffled when he asked Britney what she thought of the acts.

The singer — who jetted out of Britain last night — answered: “Yes, awesome, thank you.

“Amazing, I met so many different people the place is beautiful.”

And she also SNUBBED contestants — by rehearsing in private and later revealing she hadn’t even watched them sing her hits.

LOL! I hope the Britney fan contingent of TiBB were at the Club.... I cant believe Simon even gave her the time of say to be honest. Why did they bring her, she has been the worst guest in the history of the Xfactor. And to think that people were calling Mariah Carey a DIva. She mentored everyone, watched them sing and joined everyone on the xtra factor. Thats a real humble super star. What an embarassment Britney has become, I cant believe it. And the funny thing is, MIley Cirus is more in demand than her in the US, and she took a winnebago like everyone.

i am only guessing. but im pretty sure that G.A.Y would have charged customers extra because of britney appearing at the club. to get her to visit will be expensive. to perform would be ten times that amount. probably more. and you can forget about a live performance. that wont happen. i also doubt many members on this forum who love britney would go there. travelling expenses. plus entry charge into the night club. then you have to get in there. im sure it was heaving. a sell out. that sounds right. you ask why x factor brought her to the show. well that is a strange question to ask really. the reasons are very clear. its called ratings. something that tv shows depend on. naturally more people who watch the show. there is a good chance that more people shall pick up the phone and vote. that generates even more revenue. britney is big. bigger than mariah and bigger than miley cirus. it is not about demand either. those two singers dont even enter the same league as britney spears. they are on another plain altogether. neither of those shall have the paparazzi onto them night and day. britney is rather controversial. very rich. and in demand. it will cost anyone and arm and a leg to get her to appear or perform on a show. her agent can demand what they like. you either pay or you dont. britney doesnt need the money. nor does she really wish to go on interviews or perform songs. it is just part of her life. something she allows herself to do. "one other thing." simon cowell will understand. if britney is not going to see him. he will accept whatever reason he is given. even if there isnt one. it goes with the territory. and hes the man who knows exactly what fame and fortune can bring. and for some it can bring a life of hell. britney has been there and now you and others expect miracles. you must be joking. a mime is what we all got. and that shall have to do.

what do you expect? read the article again. britney has more important things to do. other than watch british reality tv shows. the x factor execs would have paid for her to appear. and thats enough. leave the girl alone.

Britney never was confirmed to perform OR appear at G.A.Y - they falsely advertised her when she wasn't even confirmed. She only turned up because of the mix-up and for fans. And did you hear how hectic it was? People were being attacked and crushed because it was so unorganised so for her own safety stayed at the top and waved to fans up there. People were being crushed onto the stage, that's how bad it was.

There are few facts that I would like to correct, because not everything about Saturday has been reported correctly. So first of, Yes, I had approached Britney to make an appearance at G-A-Y, never a performance, it was just for an appearance, I knew she was only in the UK for 24 hours & there would have been no rehearsal time, so my approach was only for an appearance, nothing was ever confirmed, hence the reason I advertised a Britney Party, however at no stage did I ever advertise that Britney would be there.

There was a possibility that Britney would appear but it had to be hush hush, when the story leaked in the Sun, it meant it was going to be unlikely, but still a possibility, so to try & make it still happen, I didn't respond to the Sun article, because it would make it even less likely, plus I couldn't say either way whether she would be there as, the truth is, I didn't know & wasn't going to know to the very last minute, which is how it would happen...

When Britney arrived, no one had spoken to her about going on stage, even though I had had discussions with her tour manager & security & therefore she hadn't planned going on stage & wasn't in the right frame of mind to. I did everything to try & persuade her, & she was thinking about it but as people started to move to the front, the front half of the dance floor was getting to busy where as the back half by the bar wasn't because people were surging forward, so that's why I went on stage to say she wasn't coming on, even though she was still considering it. I wanted her to come on stage but once I knew it wasn't going to happen, even after several other announcements people wouldn't believe she wasn't going to come on & wouldn't move, hence it becoming a dangerous situation, we tried to get people to move back but they wouldn't.

Well she was performing on it, so she (hopefully! ) has heard of it...

But I agree with you, there is no obligation for any guests to actually watch the show, it's just that every other guest appears to watch it/researches it so they don't look ignorant.

She could have put a bit more effort in, some of the other artists that they've had on the show have mentored the acts and everything. Just shows how un-interested and ignorant she is.

It doesn't take much effort to take a few hours out of her time to sit down and watch the contestants perform.

Bit daft is it not though? Surely she should have had the brain capacity to know that they may have asked her some questions regarding the night. I like Britney and all, but come on that was just idiotic.
