Joe Swash conquered his fear of heights on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! as he took on the Tower of Terror to win six stars.

The ex-EastEnder, 26, won six meals for camp after he climbed the lofty towers to retrieve stars from the end of poles and planks protruding out of the tower.

After volunteering to perform the trial, Joe wasn't amused when he realised he would have to wear a blue leotard to take part in the Bushtucker Trial.

He said: ‘I was excited until I’ve seen what I’ve got to wear. A man’s leotard, I’m gonna look like a doughnut in this.’

Nicola McLean agreed: 'You look like a dweeb.'

In a bid to give his outfit a bit more credibility, Joe put on a pair of Simon Webbe's white underpants to give him a superhero look.

Eagle-eyed Martina Navratilova noted: 'He doesn't fill them up quite like Simon.'

As he walked across the drawbridge to meet hosts Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, Joe continued to dwell on his embarrassing outfit.

He said: 'Podgy belly, skinny legs, I look like a skinny Smurf.'

Ant and Dec went on to explain the trial - Joe would have to walk three yellow planks and shimmy along two red poles to retrieve the five hanging stars.

The sixth star would be at the very top of the 100 foot tower.

After being told he would have five minutes to complete the task, Joe complained: 'Five minutes. I can’t do that in five minutes, can I have a couple more minutes?’

He said: 'When I came here I said I don’t want to jump out of planes I don’t want to eat anything that’s alive and I’ve eaten croc cock, witchetty bugs and now I’m going to get up here.'

After starting the trial, Joe swiftly approached the yellow plank and walked along it to get the star, which he placed in Simon's pants, before ascending to the next ledge to pick up his second star.

Despite his fears, Joe managed to complete the task fairly quickly and was ecstatic when he reached the bottom with six stars.

He said: 'I'm so proud of myself. I'm so pleased. It weren't nice, it weren't pretty. I'm so happy. I'm so chuffed.'

Ant enthused: 'We've got a new superhero in the making.'

As he retreated, he told Ant and Dec to 'Don't look at my bum.... it's one of my best features'.

Later Joe admitted: ‘I feel like I’ve run the marathon that was really, really hard work.’
