Default Should we be able to eat mince pies and hotcross buns all year round

This morning at the co-op I got a packet of hot cross buns

Which set me thinking, why can I not get Mince pies at Easter time

Or is it wrong that I can get the hot cross buns during advent?

At my parents home I used to have a tradition of Hot cross buns at Christmas, and Christmas pudding at Easter

Does anyone else like eating food out of season

I don't like mince pies one little bit.

I do eat hot cross buns all year round though, they're not really that difficult to find, and if they are, currant teacakes are basically exactly the same but without the cross, I had one in the café yesterday haha

I don't really like Christmas pudding either. I don't think I've ever had it in my own house, I normally have it with extended family.

Christmas cake is a different matter, however. Last year I made my mum make me a Christmas cake as my birthday cake. Although that isn't a massive deal seeing as my birthday's in December [4 DAYS]

I hate them both, but people will appreciate them more if they can't get them as much?

Yeh its a serious matter I think either way, it spoils the festive period for me if you can get the goods out of season! My Xmas would be ruined if I could get mince pies in summer! Please nooooo

Its manufacturers who make things seasonal, I like nothing more than Greggs special sweet mince pies but they only do them at christmas time

i like both. u can only get cadburys cream eggs @ easter too. currant teacakes r not the same as hot x buns and its not just the x that makes them different. 4 a start i warm my hot x buns in the oven and i toast teacakes and.. they taste different

They probably make mass amounts of money, like creme eggs people wait for a year to have one they buy quite a few, but now they are having sibstitutes such as the twist which has creme egg filling.

most seasonal things have some sort of alternative even if they arent as good.
