OMG
![]() I AM SOOOOOOOO ANNOYED! I've waited TWO BLOODY LONG YEARS to get my chance on the x factor which i know is minimal but its still soooooo unfair. why have they put the age limit back up to 16? Eoghan was only 15 when he entered I'm sure of it. GRRRRRRR This is so.... unfair and annoying! anyone agree? |

Cause people under that suck usually or can't cope with the stress. Yeh but Eoghan is in this series not the next one.

Because 14 year olds can't cope with the stresses of the show.
It means that the show isn't all about the little cute boy/girl like has happened with Eggnog this year. |

probably partly to do with the working hours limit on them as well as the fact the they cant cope with the pressure etc

You would have to be 16 when you apply. Theres a stage before the televised Judges stage.

thank god, lowering it was stupid. 14/15 year olds shouldn't be allowed as they too young.

I auditioned last year, I was 16 and looking back, I wasn't ready. Generally, those under the age of 16 are too young. Their voices need time to mature, otherwise they do sound like a child singing, and can't cope with the stress of the business, particularly if they win. Also, it's irritating for them as they can't stay up on the Xtra Factor and do shows late night like that. |

And I think it's good they've risen it, not that it matter, we've never actually got anyone good out under 16. The best we had was Emily - I'll say no more. |

I was glad to see that they'd raised the age to 16 again because I felt it was contradictory to let people audition at age 14, then come out with statements like "he/she is not ready yet" and not allow them to progress further in the competition.
If they feel that in general 14 & 15 year olds aren't ready, then don't raise their hopes by allowing them to audition, then crash them by not allowing them to go through to the live shows. There were a lot of acts who were stopped from going further because of their "not ready" status. It was a stupid idea to lower it to 14, because clearly the judges didn't want kids that age to go through. |
