This Year At The Hackney Empire It's..

"Captivating" ***** Metro
"This is pantomime as it should be" **** The Guardian
"London's best for festive fun" **** Financial Times
"A Christmas Cracker" Time Out

Clive Rowe is back and is joined this year by Sharon D Clarke from Holby City and Last Choir Standing along with a host of top performers.

It's Plot:

Once upon a time there lived a kindly storyteller called Mother Goose. She lived in Hackneytopia with her son Billy and all the other fairytale folk.

One fateful day two magical sisters, Charity (the good one) and Vanity (the evil one) decide to find out who is the most powerful witch… and so out tale begins… Mother Goose is given the gift of Princess Pricilla, a magic golden-egg-laying goose. But what happens when all you wish for is offered to you on a plate? Do you give away the goose you have grown to love… for beauty?

I CANNOT WAIT!!!

Sunderland:

"The most mystical pantomime of all, ALADDIN, flies in on a magic carpet to the Sunderland Empire this Christmas with a star studded cast! Celebrated American actor and director, PAUL MICHAEL GLASER (Starsky & Hutch), appears as the ultimate panto baddie ABANAZAR, alongside superstar singer and actress SHEILA FERGUSON (The Three Degrees), as the mystical GENIE. Teenage heart throb, singer and finalist in ITV’s Grease Is The Word, ANTHONY KAVANAGH, will star in the leading role of the hero himself ALADDIN, together with star of Channel 4's hit comedy show Banzai,MASASHI FUJIMOTO, as the EMPEROR."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Newcastle:

"The North East's favourite panto stars Clive Webb and Danny Adams return for their fourth hilarious Theatre Royal panto ROBINSON CRUSOE & THE CARIBBEAN PIRATES - a brand new pantomime created especially by Michael Harrison for the Theatre Royal.
Chris Hayward also returns as the Dame with an outrageous selection of sensational costumes which have to be seen to be believed.
Joining Clive and Danny in their fight against the evil Caribbean Pirates is their secret weapon, Titan The Amazing Giant Robot. Just when the going gets tough and it looks as though everything is lost, Titan comes to the rescue with his amazing special powers.
The beautiful Kathryn Rooney (last seen playing Princess Jasmine in Aladdin) returns as The Magical Mermaid and former Coronation Street star Phil Corbitt joins the team as Blackheart The Pirate."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Buuuttttttt. This year I went to Manchester (Opera House) to see the panto.
So,

Manchester:

"The Opera House Manchester and First Family Entertainment are pleased to announce a star-studded production of Peter Pan featuring Gemma Atkinson (Hollyoaks, I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!), John Thomson (The Fast Show, Cold Feet), Gary Wilmot (playing Smee), Britain’s Got Talent finalists Strike, Key 103's Mike Toolan, Milkshake presenter Jen Pringle, and Karen West."
