Default You know when, you spend ages getting ready/are really excited about something..

and you spend ages getting ready
and then you call the person, who was your ex-best friend who you've just made up with this month that you were going to meet her and her friends and have a meal and then go out to town, and you were REALLY excited?
so like, you spend AGES getting ready, then you call them at 7, and she embarressingly is like, after you've been saying "oh, i'm not sure how much i'll eat, i'm not that hungry/etc/etc". "Oh, I didn't think you were invited to the meal"
Total embarresment.
And then she accuses you of being "in a mood", and when you reply being like "no i'm just confused" a conversation where she goes "uhm, uhm, i'm sorry" and then says she'll meet you at 9.30 after SHE'S had a meal with her scary new friends you haven't met yet

so you text saying "maybe it isn't a good idea."
NO REPLY.
then you text "what do you think?"
NO REPLY.
then you wait AN HOUR "text back! what is happening?" [along those lines]
NO REPLY.
then, you call her.
NO REPLY.

So you feel rejected and let-down, by someone you really wanted to see, who hates confrontation, so probably won't reply to your messages again?

Know that feeling?!

WELL IT ****ING SUCKS

[/rant]

sorry i feel really upset, and i wanted to post this somewhere where my "normal" friends won't see this.

Doesn't sound much of a good friend to let you down like that and not reply to any of your texts. [if your implying that this has/just happened.]
IMO Think it was really mean to do that to you, it just gives them a bad reputation for letting people down and won't look good on them.

I hate it when you get mega excited for a night out then it gets ruined like that. I know exactly how you feel, its happened to me before.

She already has a bad reputation for letting people down. I just thought, maybe, it'd be different than it used to be, because she'd said "see you tommorrow!" etc alot.
I wasn't even surprised, tbh.
Just gutted that I let myself be excited when I know what she's like.

She didn't even cancel, she just presumed I "wasn't invited" to the meal part.
And i could have met up with her at 9.30 but I wouldn't have known anyone and they'd have all been talking after their meal

It sounds as if things haven't changed.
I think she needs to realize what its like when you do that to other people, I no I would be annoyed if I were you.

I'm not even annoyed, though.
And yeah I know. She says so many "uhm, uhm, uhm, i'm sorry," etc etc. but
Before she moved schools we were seriously inseperable.
