Jade Goody has more surgery to stop her cancer pain as disease progresses

Jade Goody had surgery last night in an attempt to relieve her pain.

Surgeons were hoping to remove a blockage in her bowel that has left her weeping and trembling with agony. Terminally ill Jade, 27, was ashen-faced yesterday as she was wheeled to an ambulance while breathing gas and air from a mask to dull the pain.

One onlooker said: “It was shocking to see her looking so weak. It was obvious she was in a lot of discomfort.

“She seemed unaware of what was happening around her.” Jade was transferred from the Royal Marsden to the nearby Chelsea and Westminster hospital at midday.

The 27-year-old Big Brother favourite, wearing a green and white hospital gown, had a hospital tag around her wrist which read: “Penicillin, Morphine. Itchy all over.”

She was also wearing a good luck bracelet and a bangle featuring tiny pictures of Jesus and other religious figures.

As the ambulance arrived at its destination she was carried inside on a stretcher as a nurse held a breathing mask to her face.

At one point a groggy Jade, who is said to have weeks to live, thought she recognised someone and cried out a few words.

Then as she went through the hospital’s doors, Jade reached out and clutched the nurse’s hand.

Jade had a series of tests and scans after arriving at the Chelsea and Westminster and was due to have surgery last night.

Her spokesman Max Clifford said they were hoping the operation would relieve the pain sufficiently so she could return home to spend her remaining days with her sons Bobby, five, and Freddy, four.

Mr Clifford said: “Cancer specialists did all the tests to make sure everything was the way they needed it to be before operating and to get all the information they could.

“In any normal situation I am sure they would have operated straight away but Jade is very fragile and it is a delicate balance between improving her condition and making it worse. She is in such pain she will put up with anything that might relieve the pressure in her abdomen.

“She wants to be at home spending the time she has left with her kids.”

Mr Clifford said Jade would be monitored overnight and the next move would depend on how she responded to surgery.

Meanwhile, Jade has revealed in a magazine column that she offered to leave new husband Jack her £700,000 converted barn in Upshire, Essex, when she dies.

But she said he told her he would not want to live there without her.

Jade wrote in her column for New! magazine: “I told him he can live in my house when I go but he said ‘I can’t stay here. I’ll be looking for you in every corner’.”

She also told how she has given her sons friendship bracelets.

She said: “I told them they should never take them off and if they’re sad, missing their mum or upset, to rub them and think of me.”

Jade had a similar bowel operation three weeks ago but surgeons were unable to remove of all the blockage and alleviate all of the pain

I know and according to this morning Daily Mail the cancer has spread to her Brian.
