Default Jade\'s sons \'will not be at funeral\'

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/21/20090328...l-6323e80.html

Jade Goody's two sons will not attend her funeral, it has been reported.

Bobby, five, and Freddy, four, are said to be too upset to go to the ceremony next Saturday and Goody's mother, Jackiey Budden, wants to spare them further anguish, the Sun newspaper reported.

Goody's coffin will be driven from south London, where she grew up, to Essex, where she lived, to allow people to pay their respects to the reality television star.

Details of the funeral have been revealed by undertakers F A Albin & Sons.

A statement on the company's website said Jade's mother had visited their office to discuss funeral arrangements.

The coffin will be carried in a Rolls Royce hearse followed by a cortege including four Daimler limousines and a Bentley, which was the star's favourite car.

It will pass through the estate in Bermondsey, south London, where she grew up before making its way to St John's Church in Buckhurst Hill, Essex, where the funeral service is being held.

The statement continued: "The family wish the service to be a grand celebration of her life with music chosen specially by Jade and with tributes led by close friends and family. The church will hold around 350 people, there will be a PA system to relay the service to people outside the church. The service will also be shown on a screen inside the church hall which will seat a further 200 people."

Goody will then be buried in a private service attended by family and close friends.

The star died of cervical cancer at her home in Upshire, Essex, last week.

I DISAGREE STRONGLY.

it really doesn't matter if they don't understand it all they should still have to go!

A lot of people think kids are too young to understand, however, imagine it from the childs point of view,

1. their mum is there, alive,
2. next thing she is in the ground.

they have nothing in between. and when a death hits them later on in life it will be harder for them.

i went to my granddad's funeral when i was 8, and i'm glad i did. now if a death comes i know how to deal with it.

DEATH IS A PART OF LIFE. PEOPLE NEED TO REALISE THIS, AND REALISE THAT IT IS NOTHING TO BE AFRAID OFF.

Well thats you isn`t it ,its a decision your parents made for you to go to your grandads funeral and its one the boys grandmother and dad have made for them.Who are we to say they should go.I know quite a few people actually who had a parent die when they were young and they never went to the funeral, they have dealt with deaths after this like any other normal human being.
Also, whats with the caps and all the !`s no need to be so worked up its just my opinion.

I wonder who will be looking after the boys if they're not attending?Personally I would let my children go at that age its all part of the grieving process.I wonder if it is because they wouldn't be able to behave themselves for that long?

It's a tricky one Jackie. I think they shouldn't go because, in my opinion:

a. They are very young.

and

b. There will be a lot of media attention which will make it very difficult for them to take it all in.

It would be much better if they were given time and space to come to terms with it in private.

On the flip side of the coin you've got people like me. I went to my granddads funeral when I was about 5 or 6 because I begged and begged to go, I had no idea what to expect (even though i had been spoken to about it) and it was just all round horrible and I wish I never went. I hate funerals in general too, I've only ever been to 3.

They could be the same.
