Books are now out about this Mega change that has to come.

Tom you keep on saying not enough money,
OK we do not agree.

"North argues that broadcasters are crippled by the
requirement to be impartial. Instead of being neutered but perpetually
dissindent, they need the freedom to be partisan and even positive"

But where is the money going to come from? If its commercial then its going to have a knock on effect on the rest of TV

If you can't see that then you're thick

No one is thick (no need for that)
I put a book up and you want insults
that is the wrong way to debate Young Tom.

by the time the BBC goes commercial
all other channels would have changed.

This is a well out of date BBC tax
they have to change.

We do not agree Tom.

well then he's a fool. Journalism should be impartial and neutral and not one sided. If I want editorialising and "opinion" then I know where to go for that. From news I want facts not spin and journalist NOT taking sides. Saying "freedom to be partisan and even positive" makes ZERO sense in any way you choose to look at it. Are you saying you'd like your news outlets to editorialise and spin news?... lol what kind of a freedom is that? It's less a freedom and more a noose around their necks as they'll need to create content that follows the lines of media owners. You want that for the BBC? I don't think you appreciate the role the BBC plays in a modern democracy. ...."freedom to be partisan" .... proves it.

Again I do not
read the Daily Mail,
I read the Guardian Newspaper.

But on here for young folk
the Mail photos are ideal
and the Articles are easier
for all to read - for impact reasons.

In other words you want to get your point across to younger people and you'll do that by using the Daily Mail because its more convincing (for your side of the argument) than other papers?

Tbh I don't think age should come into anything

No I know for fact
that the Mail Site
and Pictures are second to none
so for the many folks that read my threads
get a Bang On Point.
Because some that view threads are very busy.

Tom I can see you are very Bright
I agree it is wrong to put folks in boxes
at times, but I am not doing my post to down
anyone.

Thanks Tom
for keeping this thread Alive and kicking.

I am In Central London now
all this week
and I hope to find out more
on the Future Of The BBC
and Product Placement systems.
