and no in the context, he meant angel this week
hes always biggin himself up, calling himself intelligent and thinkin angel fancies him.

He's not arrogant, just very intuitive to the past weeks of public voting. It's pretty obvious he is going to stay, so why should he pretend that he doesn't know how the majority of the people will vote, when he clearly does.
