Right, I do think alot of people disliked Freddie before the vitimisation, BUT I don't think people jumped on a bandwagon or are sheep for changing their opinions after this.

All it means is that people hadn't seen the good qualities of Freddie until his calm and 'take it on the chin' manner came about. People like how he doesn't go to the diary room crying like many others would.
