C4 can afford to lose BB. It's really caught up with the others, and even starting to over-take them with T4, 4OD, E4 and all the ''let's look at ugly people and laugh at them'' shows.

And let's be honest, BB has run it's course...everyone's sick of reading about ex housemates in the papers, no-one cares about them.

Yes but its the highest rated HL show which got 2.7m, a few weeks go, it was strggling to break the 2m mark, at least its going up.
And it constantly gets the highest ratings for C4, so why would C4 want to get rid of it??

Im guessing not, the ratings have gone up an average of 400,000 since the ex-HMs have gone in.

Go on Inside BB, compare last nights 2.7m to the previous weeks, look at how much it has increased since Week 3! and look at the Tuesday shows in Week 3 and 4, last night was 800,000 up on that!
You cant doubt that viewers are coming back, look at the week averages, and look they have gone up 5 weeks in a row.

Some shows havent even managed 2.2m with +1 so it can't be that bad (even though it is quite bad). I like knowing them but tbh I don't really care about the ratings. After the worst couple of weeks ever it now feels like classic BB and the ratings have started picking up in accordance with that. But if it was only me left watching the show I wouldnt care, I don't care who else watches it just as long as I enjoy it

This makes me laugh. Not only is IsleOfWeather bang on with what they said but the fact that people even discuss the ratings shows that Big Brother is still doing it's job! And if you're going to make the effort to come and post on a forum about a show then obviously you havn't lost interest in the show.

For a show that's on 7 days a week the viewing figures are more than adequate to justify channel 4 keeping Big Brother. The show is all over the net, watched online, in the papers, magazines, talked about on other shows...etc.

It keeps Channel4 in the spotlight in so many ways that viewing figures just aren't as important as some people like to make out.

I'm sure people who obsess with the viewing figures have issues! It's like you get some weird kick out of the chances of Big Brother being taken of air! It's just strange!

and dont forget the advent of the iplayer etc online - basic tv audience stats are now only one part of the story.

how much do c4 now make online?

I bet this year will surpass all others

Been watching every episode this series and I've watched half the episodes online and half 'on demand' on Bt vision.
