Bonzo..............
you know what happens when you make me cross....

Well, I know I would be terribly saddened if they split up. It would be lovely if everything continued towards the happy marriage and children scenario, BUT I do know how difficult things can be in real life.

I would be sad, but if it wasn't right for both of them anymore, I would feel it shouldn't continue just for the sake of it.

Having said all that, bio-rythyms apart, I do think they are very well suited. I hope it works.

I have just been doing a bit of surfing and came up with the following in one of the horoscope sites.

Aries (Paul) / Gemini (Helen)
Sizzle, sizzle can you hear it. Before you check the chip pan for flames see if there is a Gemini/Aries pair about. If so they could be the course of the crackles.

Sounds good to me. But as has been said before if a relationship is not working then there is no point in staying together. I'm sure that they both have enough sense to split up if things were not right, but then all relationships go through bad times and you have to work together to make things right. They are not kids and have both had relationships before.

What am I saying this death and gloom thing must be catching. Seriously they both seem to me to be well suited - after all they got to know each other in a way that was totally different to a normal relationship - seeing both the good and the bad. They learnt a lot more in two months than most couples do in two years. If the media couldnt force them apart then I think the omens look pretty good to me. I hope so anyway.

CC100 - the whole premise of this thread is what would we think if we found out that P&H were not really a couple but had been conning us the whole time, therefore Tonto was referring to keeping up the pretence.

The thing is, why would they pretend?

Nothing to be gained by it. They haven't really gone for the high profile couple thing they could have in the early days.

I think they did the first interview for the sake of peace and quiet (the Heat one, proceeds to charity), and the Hello shoot I think was the result of some reasonably astute advice that they would be shortly eclipsed by this years BB.

Get it while you can.

I was a bit uncomfortable about it at the time, but for the sort of money they are likely to have got for a lead story, too good to miss. Last years housemates really have been completely by-passed now.

I feel saddened that Helen seems to have been unceremoniously discarded by the GMTV setup (they made Lorraine as well after all).

Lorraine's autumn LK today setup has all the usual suspects except Helen, including the ghastly Armand. I know it's all dog eat dog, but Helen has such a lovely bubbly screen presence. It will never be polished and slick, but she is so endearing. I thought Lorraine might look out for her a little better than this. Time for another email I think.

I do worry about them a little more now that Helen has no focus in London (except Paul of course). I really hope things go well for them.

Paul returned to the real world at the end of October, right after their holiday in Barbados. I think he must have decided to by the end of September last year, and he should have his feet firmly on the ground. Let's hope he can help her through the transition back to the daily grind, and that an international car door designer and a Welsh hairdresser really can live happily ever after!

I think in the early days after the end of BB2, the Scum made it quite clear that they wanted Helen as a single girl and were prepared to pay a fortune for her.

So it would not have been in her interests to pretend to be with Paul.

Mind you, if I were a Hollywood producer and I found out they were pretending, after that performance in the house last year, I would sign them up!

Hear hear ROB - after all they have been through they deserve a lifetime of happiness and love.

Helen always looked up to Paul in the house and took his advice seriously, I am sure they have had a lot of discussions between themselves and their families. She always seemed to have her feet on the ground and never really got too involved in the showbiz scene, so although she is probably missing appearing on the tele I think she always knew it would come to an end. After all how many times did she say she would be happy to go back to the salons. GOOD LUCK TO THE BOTH OF THEM WHATEVER THEY DECIDE TO DO.

Will she not get axious that she is not pulling her weight, financially ?

Also if she is living with someone, as if they were a spouse that has implications for Job Seekers Allowance (Non Contributory)

Thinks do not look good......

I'm sure they are absolutely fine enjoying their first real taste of privacy and freedom to act like any other couple living together in their own home with plenty of time for stuff etc. aul: :helen:

If they read this thread they would probably lol to think that we were all worrying about them and how they are coping whilst they are sitting on the sofa with their mugs of cocoa and coleslaw sandwiches watching OHAH on the tele.

As my OH would say if he knew "you lot all completely sad" - well we are but at least we care.

That reminds me

My sister had a look at the picture I put on www.friendsreunited.com , the same one as my avatar, and said I looked like an axe murderer

I think just about every photo of me makes me look like an axe murderer

especialy the one at the bottom.

I do wonder when ROB and I eventually meet, if we will cancel each other out and disappear in a flash of annihilation radiation

I'm sure your sister was just teasing you, Sticks.

Of course you don't look like an axe murderer.

I must admit, though, I did prefer the picture of you holding the van from the Sugar Puffs packet and SMILING. A smile makes such a difference.
