Everyone with a disabled parent should be housebound, then?
you missed the point. go back and try to find it.
The line "How sick is his mother that he can leave her for months on end?" - Well, she's very ill. She's in a barely mobile semi-vegetative state. Doesn't mean he should stay with her, or not go into BB, does it?

Excuse me, could you tell us where you got the 'barely mobile semi-vegetative state from? Do you now the family, or have some other insider information?

I agree that he has ever right to be in the house, I also personally find him very entertaining and admire his honesty and candour. The fact the Isaac revealed the family background was intended by him to be supportive of a guy who he clearly liked, and this on brief acquaintance. It is notable that Charlie is VERY popular amongts his HMs. tells you something huh?

It is a great pity Isaac said what he did, but I don't condemn him for it. He also seemed like a good sort and was well-intentioned, as Siavash acknowledged (more power to him for that).

Reminds me of the X Factor where someone comes on with a sob story. That immediately puts me off.

Charlie MUST NOT win!!

Didn't Charlie himself say she could not walk, and in some days barely recognised him as her son?

He will probably win because of the great british society (the world owes me) but he does not deserve to at all, let alone just because his mum is sick. My mum is sick, I am sick too but that does not mean society owes me,

he shouldn't win it just because of his mum and i don't think he will.

if he wins it, it'll be because of how he's acted in the house. i didn't know about his mum until someone on here mentioned it.

he might talk about his mum on the show, but who wouldn't?? the other hm talk about their families and marcus has brought up his bad childhood on numerous times. if the hm feel sorry for him about his situation, then that's up to them. we also don't know how often he talks about his mother. i don't think that charlie would ever use him mum as a way to try and win big brother

It's not a full coma, she's still aware of the surroundings and recognises faces.

And Charlie is highly entertaining in my opinion. No need for any sympathy vote, he is just a downright GOOD human being who loves his mum. Of course he talks about her, just as Freddie constantly does about his Aerican father, as Marcus does about his having given his mother a home, as Noirin did abot her difficult relationship with her parents.

Just because Isaac mentioned it on his eviction interview, everyone is jumping on a non-existent bandwagon! If there IS a bandwagon, the chattering classes in here have created it, NOT Charlie.
totally agree!!

there are different coma states. someone could be in a coma and still walk about and eat and drink, but not be aware of surroundings etc

found this article that explains it better

EDIT people should look up locked in syndrome too. pretty interesting stuff. watched a programme about it a while back

He doesn't deserve to win period.

I really don't like him, he is a conniving snitch, and to win the BB show would be like letting a bully at school win an award for Good Behaviour. Charlie isn't a bully, but he's definetly fake, and on BB Live last night when he said he didn't want to win, he just wanted to make his mum proud, he was rambling for way too long, it really puts me off when they say they don't want to win but they actually do.

That is terribly sad. A friend of mine was in a coma due to a brain aneurysm for five months until finally (with relief) passing away. This has more than likely already been said but if my mother was in a coma I don't think I'd want to be in the house, on the other hand life has to go on. So I'm kinda on the fence. however I don't think Charlie should get the sympathy vote because of his mothers situation and win as a result.
