Default Robert Plant (again)

He was absolutely brilliant last night - I'm still on a high. What a show - my only regret is that I didn't get tickets for tonight as well.

Hey, I share a birthday with him!

Uhh... yeah...

Awesome Ruth! Did he do requests? Lol. My parents were determined to go see him, we persuaded them that no, they really shouldn't leave us to deal with the kitten attacking the Christmas tree.

He is alongside Noddy Holder, John Lennon, John Lydon and Liam Gallagher as the best British rock voices ever.

Noddy Holder is very under-rated as a singer I think. I wouldn't say that John Lydon or Liam Gallagher have got great voices (although I love the Pistols and PiL), but they've certainly got distinctive voices. Same as Mick Jagger - technically his voice is not brilliant, but it's so recognisable.

I love Robert Plant's voice. I find it very soothing, especially when he does ballads. He sang a few Led Zep songs - about 4 - and did Whole Lotta Love for the finale - it was brilliant.

Was Whole Lotta Love the original version, or a more mellow, acoustic version?

It was the original version - if anything, it was a bit heavier than the original. it was a fantastic end to an amazing show.
