It's going to be a tear-jerking afternoon - the housemates are getting messages from home.

They were told to gather in the Sitting Room and Big Brother asked one housemate to go to the Diary Room to collect a laminate. Siavash disappeared, and when he came out he sprinted through the House to share the exciting news.

As he started to read his voice was breaking with emotion. "Housemates, throughout today each housemate will receive a message from home."

There was a hush in the room as the news sunk in, and everyone cheered when Lisa was the first housemate called to the Diary Room to see a hologram of her mum and her aunt. The housemates watched on the plasma screen in the Sitting Room, and there wasn't a dry eye in the House.

Lisa immediately welled up as she heard that her brother is having a baby, due on her birthday. She smiled and cried all the way through the message.

The housemates cheered again as she arrived back in the Sitting Room, and Siavash shouted, "Oh my god this is the best thing that's happened in the ****** world ever!"

"It's lovely," nodded Lisa, wiping tears away. "It's like you wanna touch it. I can't believe it. I'm shaking."

Siavash started to cry again, muttering, "This is too much."

Charlie was next to be called in. A hologram of his dad appeared and told him, "I'll not ask you what you've been doing for the last few months, because I think I've got a good idea."

He went on to tell Charlie that his mother, who has been unwell, is having treatment and showing progress. Charlie began to sob with happiness.

The housemates have been told that the rest of their messages will come later today. Tissues at the ready...
