pigeons and corvids ARE classed as vermin
but as a bird lover, I don't judge. Don't get pigeons in the garden, but do get jackdaws and rooks: highly intelligent birds they are too. There are some videoes on BBC science website showing how they work things out ... |

Pigeons = skyrats. Not beautiful, but fairly tasty in pies.

Pigeons = horrid little F**ckers built a nest on my balcony!! Every day the male bird would fly up with sticks, no shame I would run over to shoo them away and heavily pregannt mum and dad flew off but always came back as scared to leave the nest with eggs, in the end I felt bad and left them to it but I must mention at the time I was tryign to sell the flat and so had to stick a big plant in front of it so it would not put off potential purchasers ![]() Cheeky little fecks |

a pigeon's original home is cliffs, so a balcony would be ideal for them!
lots of councils and businesses put up nets to stop them: across from where my OH works, is the local utilities building; they have nets up to stop seagulls. In the main, the gulls have learnt to deal with the nets: but a small minority don't, and get trapped, dying a slow lingering death ![]() |

I live miles from a village and every weekend during the season the dickless locals are out blasting stuff out of the sky. Jays, magpies, rooks... it's very sad. And I know that farmers consider them a pest but seriously... these people dress up in fancy dress to kill stuff. They're weird. |
