Default To the Bea Haters (incl myself)- ie. 99.9% of this Board

I'm curious to find out exactly- At what point did you start to dislike Bea...were you always repelled or was it a feeling that transformed over night. Was it as a direct result of her actions towards Freddie..or did that behaviour only reflect and intensify the dislike of her overall character?

I actually quite liked her when she refused to join in the secret task, and then exposed Kenneth and Tom for the manipulators they were (in trying to get her to do the dirty on freddie). But, her true colours soon began to show (me, me, me, me, me!!!) and by the time the 3 musketeers rebelled, I really didn't like her much at all. Of course, it got even worse after that.

I liked her initially but then it was all the crying and drama that came along, I really dont like two faced people, be honest or avoid someone if you dont get on with them but was nice to their faces and then nasty behind their backs, she is a little too self absorbed, I think it only took a week for me to change my mind about her

I thought she was a bit nice and dippy at first, really liked her for standing up to the others regarding the 'secret task' and the way she handled Kenny. Then during that row with Kenny in the garden, I noticed a real cockiness about her (the way she kept bating him), but just didn't think any more of it at the time.

It was when she started slagging off HMs (some of it was actually funny at first - e.g. Isaac: 'he looks like a right noddy!'), but when she turned on Noirin in such a b*tchy way and got Freddie under her 'spell' - that's what started it properly for me.

Obviously, the way she used and then finally ripped into Freddie at the end was the final straw. Freddie himself (while talking to Marcus I think) pointed out it was all about her being 'consumed with ego' rather than being a master gameplan. I think Freddie did show his ability to read the situation once his 'blind love' had been quashed.

Bea was all about protecting her ego in that house, every bitch, every row...it wasn't a master gameplan (obviously, because it failed so miserably)...

I hope she learns from it all and is able to become a better person for it.

For me it was just before Freddie left when she actively tried to be nasty, derogatory and negative towards him, when the issue was over. This amplified greatly after he left, as she got worse and worse.

But I also had disliked her for isolating Noirin and being a b*tch as well as her fake antics with David near the start. So that, as well.

Trying to twist every scenario to try and make herself look like a victim and the other as bad, specifically zooming in on people's weakpoints and making a drama to bring them down, turning every issue into something about her, being spoilt and selfish, lieing and backstabbing, duplicitous to people, mind games/interrogation of David in the hope that he'd react, etc.

She'd constantly try and manipulate scenarios to try and make herself look an innocent, helpless victim and the other as evil. The fake crying! She was very sly, cunning and deceptive. Not a good person.

I generally thought she was right in the Freddie vs Bea saga. She was pestered and Q'd for 2 days, analysed endlessly by an annoying twerp, had her food taken away because of their pathetic rebellion, etc. And she told him his flaws and that he was negative, bad aura, etc. He was; constantly analysing, pestering and rebelling. That's not positive!

Just as the video introduction finished and they opened the car door for her. As much as I do hate to say I told you so.

I generally started to dislike her a few days before the Freddie thing. I liked her in the first week, but then started to go off her a bit. The Freddie incident was just the straw that broke the camel's back for me, and pushed me from being unsure/verging on disliking, to hating (and it's very rare for me to use the term "hate" for any HM because it's such a strong word, but she definitely warranted it after that).

Something just didn't add up in the turnaround of behaviour from the night of the cigarettes argument, leading to the next couple of days, when she went from being Freddies Best Friend or ally, to his bully- her overall repulsion and need to stamp on his character. It more or less came out of nowhere. And it came as a shock to viewers..there was a reason people started labelling her "psycho", "sociopath" and so on.. It's that it seemed to reflect a certain, well in the most exaggerated form, an insanity... or someone that was completely off the wall. Because in the first instance of her criticism of him, it seemed to be wholly offensive and critical (ie. When they were lying in bed the night the food was taken away)..and the nature of her criticism was that he was turning into a *negative* force in the house.. So the theme was that she was "repulsed" by his negativity. She started bullying him then...and the idea was that she was capable of cutting to the very nature of his person... The turnaround was so extreme, so vindictive and based on someone in a weak position, that that's what led to his exasperation/panic attack etc.
All the while the theme being that Freddie was weak, self-destructive..in other words negative..and all the comments carried along the same theme, from everyone!. Eg. the morning they were all sitting by the dining room window, Freddie walked by in his dressing gown, and a whole series of comments being made under their breathe..like Lisa's "I feel like I'm in a mental asylum"..
Grade A bullying.
But what doesn't add up is how she actually *got away* with turning events on their head, by victimising herself and protesting the fact that it was her who was being bullied for being *negative*... by Freddie, Marcus, Siavash. I must have missed something. Did the HL's leave out a whole other side to the story or a dynamic that we didn't see? Or were certain comments left out? How she got away with victimising herself- I still don't understand.
I'm only aware of one comment that Freddie made- warning her about talking behind peoples' backs etc. Did I miss something?
Lot's of other points that don't add up. But this first

Bea started to alienate people when she was rude to Freddie. As housemates go she was a good value pantomime villain and the house has gone a bit flat without her.

They should send her back in to torture the remaining HMs, they'll be throwing themselves off the roof when they see her.

Bea's is the face that launched a thousand lemmings.

I started disliking her, when she took that Noirin thing way too far. It all went downhill from there.

Lot's of other points that don't add up. But this first

I think you have hit the nail on the head there. It was the sudden turnaround. It was the fact that her 'ego' was looking bad because Freddie was acting a bit silly and immature (bless him) in DR etc. on the 'rebellion' day, and she wanted to start disasociating herself from that as she wanted to look 'cool' etc. in the eyes of the others (I was watching her body language).

Also, previous day to that, Freddie had the audacity to dare make one remark that she was being 'negative' in a conversation at the bus-stop where she had been laying into him - once he had said this, that was it for her and she NEVER let it go. She had to turn it against him (as he said - 'projected her own faults onto him') in order for her to maintain her ego.

A very scary person imo - she needs to learn about that!

When nominations had been announced and she proceeded to exonerate herself of any wrongdoings concerning the secret task, with no regard shown towards the other new housemates. It was just a step too far for me.

A good post, runied by the last biased, Freddie-hating paragraph. And I thought you were getting better AF!

See my alternative explanation above - far more accurate I feel. Thanks.

Thought the way she reacted to Bodyguardgate with Ken was a little OTT. Confirmed she was venomous, when she turned Tom's advice to her as a weapon against him.
