Default This \"axe\" publicity, good for BB? And ITV COULD take BB?

Its the first time Ive seen BB on the news since the Race Row, publicity is good right?

As to the other part of my thread title, why are people thinking its so unlikely for ITV to pick it up. Last year they showed a great interest, along with Sky in still being interested in the show. ITV for the last few years have always commented that they wanted BB, but will they want it now? Thats the reasl question, especially considering ITV is in sort of a struggle, they need more profit, dont they?

BUMP

Its been on the news, newspapers, radio, all over Facebook and Twitter. That is a lot of publicity to suddenly appear about BB, we could see a tiny boost tonight, maybe people will be interested in seeing why its being axed.

next year will host a variety of events including the world cup and in that time bb will be starting or at least thats when i think it will start, after the viewing figures literally plummet all the major channels will decline for me best for bb is to cancel next years series move it to 2011 or if they go ahead with next year w8 till 2013

Im sure this story will give the remainder of BB10 and BB11 a boost.
ITV1 are looking like the only realistic option, im just hoping if any channel does pick it up thats its not a small channel because it would damage the brand even more

I agree, it was the first reality show in the country. And should be respected, BB was before XF, BGT, IAC, Popstarts, Pop Idol, The Farm, before everything!
It has had a massive influence, who would have thought that random people living in a house would become so popular and still be on after 10-11 years.

As the ratings are dropping off, I wonder if its been done for tonights highlights show with the camera run invasion and David and Lisa hitting London? Might give it a last short term boost until the end of the series

itv were interested 3 years ago but a LOT has happened since then. ITV probably could not afford it and do not have the space on their schedules for it too. Only channels I would think is Living TV or Virgin 1. No one else would have it.

It has had its day - people accept its over. Forums like this will die too.
