Default C4 bought it, buggered it and are now chucking it!

Extremely annoyed at C4 again. It's very annoying to think that they battled to hard for it in 2006 when ITV was going to take it on, but C4 seemed to win through and promised new expectations with the show. What have they done?! They've ruined it and made sure that no other channel wants it, in a way, they've disgraced the Big Brother name and that's why it's failing. Why is it that the USA Big Brother lasts so long? Because the channel supports it 100%, if the channel doesn't support the programme then it shows how much lack of interest they have in it, and thus, leads to low ratings and reputation crumble. C4 killed BB, not the producers, or the fans, or the housemates, C4 have done it so no other broadcaster can have it.

Got to agree, they have been found wanting, with all the legal ramifications involved it has become one potato that is too hot to handle.

There just doesn't appear to be the will, desire or nous to be able to take the programme in the right direction.

You have to give C4 respect for buying it in the first place as the majority of channels did not want to touch it.

I know, it's so annoying to think how much they fought for it in 2006 when ITV offered Endemol money for it

ITV and Sky were both offering Endemol money for it in 2006.

I agree, I bet they knew it could really attract some viewers, but did not want it becuase it took so much space. Therefore they took it on for a few years to destroy it so no other channel will buy it becuase the loss of ratings it had.
