If I remember rightly, Lisa only lost her last job not long before going into Big Brother - there's been a recession and this has happened to lots of people. She has worked in factories all her life. She has definitely NOT been a dole scrounger for years.

and NO I'm not a fan of Lisa - but fair do's!

Not everyone who gets job seekers allowance is a dole waller I got made redundant a few years ago and recently had to get it for a week before finding a job it's there to help people, people do abuse it but we've no proof she does, i believe she was talking to them about redundancy and felt pretty strongly about it so must have happened to her recently

the whole point of it is to help in travel costs/admin work
to help you get back to work

Lisa lost her job shortly before going into Big Brother!

She is NOT a long-term dole-claimer/scrounger.

She is a 40+yr old woman who has spent most of her adult life working in factories.

She hasn't even had a few years break from paid employment to have children/bring up a family like MOST women do.

If you've never experienced unemployment in your life, you're a very lucky person indeed and should be eternally grateful!
