As of Monday 7 September EastEnders opening title sequence will undergo a dramatic transformation! The old title sequence has been replaced with a slick, modern sequence featuring satellite photography combined with 3D mapping courtesy of Graphic Designer Peter Anderson and new theme music by Composer Simon May. This has given the new opening titles a very contemporary feel, whilst retaining many of it’s traditional values. View the exclusive new EastEnders title sequence on our video page.

I've wanted them to do this for years,but that doesnt look or sound right.
Its a bit tacky tbh.

The music is really cheesy now with more tinkling in the background. And the fluffy clouds and bright colours don't suit the mood of the show, because it's always miserable.
