Default Boring Time Of The Year

Doesn't this time of the year just do your head in, it does me. We have December which is all rushing around, Christmas, with family and friends, New Year with plenty of drink, then wham straight into boring freezing cold January, and a credit card bill, don't you just love it, what an anti climax. Mind you looking on a brighter note, it does get lighter day by day, and will soon be spring again. Yippie Lets hope it's a great summer and I can wear my shorts longer than a day all summer.

I know exactly how you feel steve_o. I am so bored, I just don't know what to do with myself.
I have no money to go out with my friends because it was all spent partying and present buying at christmas. Work looms over the wkd so thats my wkd done and dusted.
And then to top it off, on Monday Im back to school with the warm welcome of EXAMS!!!!

I know what you mean too, Steve but, as you say, Spring will soon be here.

Today, I bought my first pot of hyacinths (blue ones this year) and am looking forward to seeing them flower and fill my kitchen with their beautiful scent.

I love Spring, I do.

As if you needed that excuse, Janette!

I love my haggis, neeps and tatties on Burns night - eaten after reciting 'To a Haggis' dressed in full Highland regalia (as if!!) and followed by a few 'wee drams'. Lovely.

Hi Steve.

Twelfth Night is actually January 5th so you don't have to take your decorations down until tonight.

Well mine are all down now and, as usual, the house looks really bare, empty and.....arghh.....DUSTY!

Well...who's got the patience to pick up all those cards to dust underneath!

I'm glad you're back too, Feebs. Where have you BEEN all this time?

Oh and I certainly didn't have the patience to dust under the cards either so I've HAD to polish today.

Welcome back, Feebs.

Great to see the lovely David Boreanaz gracing the forum again.

Tree, decorations and cards all taken down today - although I'm sure I'll be picking up bits of tinsel for many weeks to come!

Thanks for the warm welcome back

I love this time of year. I know that it seems quiet after the rush of Christmas but it always fills me with a warm feeling about the year to come.

One of my 'good intentions' (I'm too old for resolutions!!) is to POST MORE! So hopefully you'll all be seeing a lot more of my gorgeous avatar!
