"After last night's punishment which showed Galloway as a rule breaker & aledged racism, plus other things - Surely Maggot asked the question his constituents, his party & the press. He told Maggot he broke rules because it was a "highly emotional situation"
Maggot. rightly said it was the same for everyone & you should know better!" This means he will break rules over emotional situations then? well the war in Iraq, the families of the sodiers out there are emotional!!! No excuse I say yes he MUST ![]() |

That was my first reaction Coltrane, but they are in extreme circumstances, I know by choice, but I am not sure initially, that he realised that he had broken the rules. As to the alledged racism I didn't hear that; can you enlighten me?
I am just not sure about George. I do believe a great deal in his principles as an MP, but I can't quite make out why he has gone in the BB house. He has obviously upset a lot of his constituents. Did he not realise that may happen? ![]() |

No I don't think he should resign. He has done nothing which I think effects his ability to be an MP.

I don't know, he mentioned that he had voted for a "black person" - after the initial race chaos died down. but it's not just that - An MP should & I say should stick by the law regardless of the circumstances - "squeaky clean" image. They obviously are not, they're human, but IF caught doing something like the lie he told to Preston as they left the Diary Room - "We'll just say we've been punished" is all it would take for questions to be asked of his honesty & trust -both have been called to question in that "experience" -although it's just a tv show, his constituants are not happy with the cat thing that made national tv news!
But as I said, if there is visible evidence, not just an assumption that an MP has done something - a bad example, they usually have to resign. That's all I meant . If it was a bigger party - he would be asked to resign I'm sure, but the respect party - will have lost some respect, might not, then the question lies on George, if he stays -who will trust him? |

He shouldnt resign- the voters should choose. There should be a by-election, with George standing again. Let the people decide.
