Channel 4's newest reality series, The Salon, is to go live on Monday.
The show will revolve around a fully working hairdressers and beauty salon in South London, run by eleven full-time staff. Viewers will be able to take part in the show by booking appointments with any one of the stylists or beauticians, and once a week, leading beauty experts will visit The Salon to provide the latest specialist treatments including Botox, colonic irrigation and collagen lip implants.
The Salon's opening hours will be 10am - 7pm Monday to Friday. Cameras will monitor all of the events in and around the premises, tracking the daily dramas, behind-the-scenes gossip and staff-room banter.
Channel 4's show will broadcast each weekday at 6pm, featuring highlights from the last 24 hours and interviews with the staff and customers. E4 will stream live coverage from The Salon between 10am and 5pm, then again after the Channel 4 live show from 6.30pm to 7pm. A hour-long roundup of the week's events will air on Saturdays at 2pm on E4, repeated the following day on Channel 4's T4 strand.
"It's not just a hairdressers," said Executive Producer Phil Edgar-Jones. "It's a proper, big working salon. So there's a haircutting bit, a beauty area, a spa and a sauna. The idea is that we're concentrating on the lives of the people in The Salon, and any member of the public can come in and have their hair cut or nails done any time they want."
The Salon begins with a one-hour preview show, tomorrow night at 9pm on Channel 4.

i thought big brother wouldn't be that good when it first started so it proves how wrong you can be 
I'll be watching it tomorrow to see what it's like
