Default What celebrity would you like to live next door

Just been listening to a radio programme when they were talking about some poll giving the top 10 celebrities people would like as a next door neighbour.

The winner was ...........

Alan Titchmarsh

Now much as I could do with his gardening skills, he wouldnt be my choice. Apart from the obvious (although I dont think they would count as celebrities any more - shame) my choice would be:

Eamonn Holmes

cos he seems to be a very normal guy and wouldnt put on airs and graces and also has very good contacts who may join him for an a occasional b-b-q.

Although I wouldnt say no to George Clooney or Sean Connery

Well I will ignore the obvious one, because I don't fancy living in Barnet, and I can't see a move to the East Midlands on the cards for you know who.

Otherwise the only possible plus I can think of in living next to any celeb is that I would be in swish accomodation myself, and probably living my life like an international pop star.

If pushed though, possibly Dawn French ( I could borrow her frocks) or Eddie Izzard, because I could so do with a laugh right now

I would like to live next door to David Essex.
Just to see those wonderful eyes every day would be great. He is quite a good singer as well.
If I could choose someone from the past it would be Queen Mary. I would like to ask her just why she left everything in the hands of John's nanny.
The poor boy didn't stand a chance. Thank god for LaLa.
If it hadn't been for her he wouldn't have survived as long as he did.
Thank goodness we are more enlightened today.

Why would anyone want to live near a celebrity

Think of all the disruption, the screaming hoards of fans, especially those who get the WRONG ADDRESS

I am glad you have come to recognise this. Now the therapy can begin..............

DR ROB IS HERE TO HELP............

TRY THIS TEST

although be warned it takes a few minutes.

This is my profile:

ROB - your unconscious mind is driven most by Peace

You are driven by a higher purpose than most people. You have a deeply-rooted desire to facilitate peacefulness in the world. Whether through subtle interactions with love ones, or through getting involved in social causes, it is important to you to influence the world.

You are driven by a desire to encourage others to think about the positive side of things instead of focusing on the negative. The reason your unconscious is consumed by this might stem from an innate fear of war and turmoil. Thus, to avoid that uncomfortable place for you, your unconscious seeks out the peace in your environment.

Usually, the thing that underlies this unconscious drive is a deep respect for humankind. You care about the future of the world, even beyond your own involvement in it. As a result, your personal integrity acts as a surrogate for your deeper drive toward peace and guides you in daily life towards decisions that are respectful toward yourself and others.

Though your unconscious mind is driven most strongly by Peace, there is much more to who you are at your core

Wow! Fascinating test, ROB.

Here's my profile:

Kaz, your unconscious mind is driven most by Imagination

This means you have a deep desire to use innovative ideas to enhance your life and influence the world around you. This drive influences you far more than you may realize on a conscious level.

Your need to be innovative drives how you look at new opportunities and the kinds of experiences in life you choose to have. On an unconscious level, the reason you may be so driven by imagination is your fear of destruction, the opposite of creation. When you are unable to create due to restrictions imposed by your environment or even ones you unwittingly impose on yourself, do you feel trapped or confined? You may find these feelings of unease only get better when you find another outlet for your imagination.

With such a strong creative orientation, you are willing to entertain a broad spectrum of ideas at any given time. The world is a fuller, richer place because you can contribute new ideas to any experience. Your natural curiosity inspires those around you and encourages them to come up with ideas they wouldn't have thought of without your help.
__________________________________________________ ______

No mention of the word 'strumpet', though - the therapy must be working!

P.S. It also told me someting I really DIDN'T want to know - apparently I am 525 months old!

Don't you dare try to work that out!!!

BigSister, your unconscious mind is driven most by Curiosity

This means you are full of questions about life, people, and the potential of your future. You spend more time than others envisioning the possibilities of your life — things that others are too afraid to consider.

Your curiosity burns with an almost physical need to know and do more. It's only through new experiences that you feel a greater understanding of yourself or the world — which ultimately is the greatest way for you to feel satisfied.

It is possible that the underlying reason for your drive towards curiosity is a deeply rooted fear of boredom. That means that you are probably more susceptible than others to feel like you're falling into a rut when life slows down into a comfortable routine.

You need to make sure you have stimulation in your life — that makes you feel like you're innovating or being exposed to the ideas and experiences that truly inspire you.

With such a strong orientation towards curiosity, you're also prone to a rebellious quality that shows up when you feel you are just going through the motions, and are unable to really influence the world around you. But interestingly enough, your drive towards novel experiences also indicates an openness others don't have, but wish they did.

Unconsciously, your curiosity presses you to learn more, experience more, and get the most out of life.

Though your unconscious mind is driven most strongly by Curiosity, there is much more to who you are at your core.

Since we are into this psychobabble

Quote:
Graeme, your unconscious mind is driven most by Resistance

You approach the world with your guard intact because unconsciously, and perhaps consciously, you want to maintain an element of control in your relationships with people. You tend to hold your private experiences just out of reach of others. You're not one to immediately show all your cards, to let people into who you really are until you're ready.

Unfortunately, that sometimes means you also hide things from yourself. You may find that your desire to remain guarded backfires, affecting your self-awareness. Why are you like this? It's possible that you act in this manner because of a deeply-rooted fear of being exposed, or of truly expressing yourself. To protect yourself from this fear, you act in the opposite manner — you are guarded.

There is a certain respect that comes with resistance, an unconscious understanding that the human psyche is very vulnerable. We all feel we have a lot to hide, and you are not one to be intrusive or thoughtless about how you approach sensitive topics with others. Therefore you inspire a sense of safety in others when they are around you. Your psyche is very deep, very rich, and the more you can let yourself know (both the good and the bad), the more you will be able to appreciate who you really are.

Though your unconscious mind is driven most strongly by Resistance, there is much more to who you are at your core.

Mairi, your unconscious mind is driven most by Self-protection

Whether you know it or not, your unconscious mind is defending your internal emotional experiences. It acts like an emotional dam that helps you keep things in check. One reason for this could be that you have a deeply-rooted fear of being flooded by emotions. In response, your unconscious acts in the opposite manner, by protecting you from unpredictable, emotional tidal waves.

While this tendency might be useful in some circumstances, it may also at times make your emotions hard to articulate or grasp. And that can lead to some frustration.

Since you tend to appear level-headed to others, they feel they can count on you for sound opinions and advice. Another benefit of your unconscious drive is that it allows you to remain calm in the toughest of situations. This can be a real benefit for you during business negotiations or personal arguments because you're not apt to say damaging things that you'll have to apologize for later.

The only hazard with this drive towards self-protection, is you might filter out good emotions as well as the bad. That can leave you feeling like something is missing, something you can't quite place.

But ultimately, your unconscious is wise and will know if there is a time in the future where it would be beneficial to be different.

Though your unconscious mind is driven most strongly by Self-protection, there is much more to who you are at your core.

I've finished it now.

Apparently, my unconscious mind is driven by curiosity. That's a relief. Not as bad a judgement on my subconscious as I thought it was going to be.

mine is love,

sara, your unconscious mind is driven most by Love

Everyone has a desire to love. But your desire is rooted very deeply in your unconscious and affects many of the decisions you make in life — whether you are aware of it or not.

You have an energy about you that inspires people to experience their true feelings of love and act kindly towards others. In this way, you and your drive for loving relationships start a chain reaction of positive experiences.

The reason you are driven by love, may be because your unconscious is trying to avoid the opposite of love — hate. You, more than others, may be afraid of experiencing severe discord with others. That may, in turn, heavily influence your choices about relationships and the way you communicate your ideas, wants, and desires to others.

With such a strong orientation towards loving others, your relationships hold a very special place in your life. Your capacity to love may be greater than those around you, and therefore you may have more to give in relationships than your romantic partner does. Remember that this is a gift you have and one most others don't possess.

i seem to be the only one so far..

Well, I think being someone who is motivated by, above all else, love, should cheer up and stop feeling depressed!

"Love is patient, love is kind.

It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered,

it keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in the truth.

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perserves.

Love never fails.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.

But the greatest of these is love."

There you go!
