I don't think Nirvana are overrated. They started something. If it weren't for them a lot of bands wouldn't have been signed to major labels around that time. That's a fact.

Arctic Monkeys - Too overhyped, I liked them before they were the in "band" now everyone has a go saying i hopped on the bandwagon.....would have preferred if they weren't hyped up so much......."Don't Believe The Hype"
U2 - Bono is the most annoying frontman ever, hos hypocracy is unbeleivable too.
Coldplay - Much prefer thier old stuff, plus chris martin calling his kids after fruit, somethings a miss with that man.
Muse - I dont get them, I tried I really did, I have a huge dislike for them....

That's actually not opinion though. It's fact. I've read books pertaining to that era and they state that the major labels were more willing to take a chance on signing non-mainstream bands because of the unexpected success of Nirvana.
