Can some1 please tell me how to put a footer on microsoft word. It's for my English essay.

Page numbers and the a footer at the bottom
I don't use these computers at school thats how i don't know what im doing |

OK, if it's just the page numbers you need in a footer, then this is what you do.
Firstly, click 'View' on the top Word menu, then click on 'Headers and Footers'. This box will pop up .... ![]() Click on the fourth little box from the right to switch between header and footer. Once you've got the footer box, tab your cursor to the centre of the footer box, and then click on the first little button on the left of the box 'Insert Page Number'. The number '1' will appear. Then click Close. Now your document will show the number '1' as a footer in grey type ... the next page will automatically be 2, then 3, etc. If you want to edit the footer, just double click on it and the box will open up again. Well i got 2 for my 1st draft ( thats a credit) and she said when i fix my spellin etc I'll get a 1
