Also I don't know why the judges raved about big Mike's performance. It was a good note at the end but that's about it.

Yeah I thought Ellen was a bit random at first but she is good. I like all the American Idol judges and Simon gives better varied constructive critism comments on American Idol than the cliche's we always hear on The X Factor.
